New formula is awful - a great product ruined!

I’ve used and loved this product for over a decade - whenever I’ve tried anything else I always come back to this. But this new formula is absolutely awful. Has anyone at Nivea even tried it?! It doesn’t absorb, it smells bad, and it doesn’t make my skin feel good at all. Hands down the worst body lotion I’ve ever used. I don’t even want to give it one star. Please please please bring the old formula back!

Awful chemical smell

I have been an avid user of the this body lotion for many years but this new formulation is just terrible. It stinks, has a chemical smell and it feels like aqueous cream and nothing like the previous formulation. Very disappointing.

Terrible

This new 72hr formula is awful. It's feels like sorbolene and doesnt absorb, just a white film on my skin. You've lost me. And who needs 72hrs!. Why do all these manufacturers keep changing product when its tried

Change in formulation, drop in standard

I have used the Shea butter formulation for years. While I was self conscious about the strong scent of Shea, akin to cocoa butter, it was truly moisturising when my skin was at its driest from the dry cold winter season compounded by hot water showers. Since Nivea shifted to this new 72 hour formulation, the first noticeable is that it doesn't absorb well. It streaks over the skin like cheap glycerine types. And even with daily moisturising with this product, I am suffering from dry itchy skin this winter, something I have never had issues with the old formulation. I feel like it's a cheap dupe to cut production costs. Go back to the old formulation Nivea. This new one is just not working and you've lost me as a customer.

Absolutely useless

What is this horrible new product!? The chemical smell is absolutely foul and my skin is itchy and flaky. This isn't a more sustainable product, it's a cheap downgrade from a once reputable brand.

Product Changed

My grandmother used Nivea and passed on to me too. Have been using for 50 years and for the first time will look at another brand. So disappointed with the change to the formula, scent not the same but more disappointing is how it does not moisturise, my skin is now dry. I am all for trying to make improvements, sustainability changes in packaging, but this new formula is not great, please bring back the original formula in the new package

From luxury to cheap and nasty!

Why mess with something that was so good? Product feels cheap, doesn’t rub into my skin properly and has clearly been changed to cut costs and inflate the price! Might as well use plain sorbelene cream. The lovely classic scent has gone too!!! After a lifetime of using Nivea, I will be switching brands for good. 😡

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION

Hi Nivea, this new version of your product does not match with my skin. I see a lot of people complaining as well in regards to this issue. is there any possibility that you could bring back the old formula? it was actually the best and suit my skin so well. I also see the same comment with other people. Please bring back the old formula.

Please Bring Back the Original Moisturiser

Why? Just… why would you do that? Sustainability? Really? That’s your reason? This was the only moisturiser—literally the only one—that worked perfectly for my skin. And you decided to change the formulation? The new version is honestly terrible: • My skin has started reacting – red patches, dryness, and itchiness • The smell is unpleasant • The texture feels awful on the skin • It just doesn’t perform like it used to Please bring back the old formulation. I’m not the only one saying this—friends and family feel the same. We’ve all been talking about how disappointing the change is. This moisturiser used to fly off the shelves—gone in a day. That’s how good it was. Why fix what wasn’t broken? I’ve never found another moisturiser that I could use so comfortably on my entire body. When so many loyal users rely on a product, it’s just not fair to change it so drastically. Please reconsider. Bring back the original.
