KitchenAid Fresh Prep Slicer & Shredder Attachment

Was hoping it would be a bit less effort to push the carrots into the attachment but it’s not quite as powerful as a dedicated food processor

We recently purchased this add-on to our mixer. We were excited to see what an add-on would do and thought this would be a good add-on to pilot this experiment with. We haven't been let down. We're now looking at other options ... maybe the pasta add-on next.

I wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for years and finally bought one last year. The Juniper colour feels classy, and the build quality is exceptional. More than anything, it has brought our family together, sparking a real interest in cooking with so many creative possibilities. We absolutely love it truly.

I was seduced by the marketing. It does not grate onions, is slow and heats up the machine. Lining up the feeder is also difficult. Less than impressed.

I made a vegetable slice and used my Fresh prep slicer & shredder. It was so quick and easy to use. I love it. THANKS.

My kitchen aid sits on my bench so grating food is easy now especially for larger quantities of vegetables.

produces very even grating, shredding etc and is easy to clean very happy

After being a slow adopter to all things Kitchen Aid, I have used my food prep slicer endlessly - makes food prep so quick and it’s easy to clean.

Not mad about this product. You have to cut vegetables quite small to fit the food pusher therefore it doesn't really save you a lot of time and effort.

It works ok on drier vegetables but anything soft like Zucchini and beetroot and it just turns to mush and clogs up the barrel, then you spend more time unclogging it and getting it clean than you do shredding. I think a redesign of the position of the barrel might help.

Easy to use and produces great outcomes and also easy to clean and use.

So pleased we got this attachment. We ‘ummed’ and ‘ Ahmed’ about getting it and the bit the bullet and have not looked back. Quick , easy and a bit of fun.

I brought this to replace my grater slicer on my thermomix as I find the one I had was squashing the cheese and wasting alot of it and it was very loud. The kitchen add grater is so uniform in its grate and dosent waste food in the process.

Have used this already few times takes potato gratin up a level really happy I got this add on. It will be used a lot ;)

I bought the Prep Slicer & Shredder attachment. The shredders work as hoped; we are happy with the outcome from a basic cheese. The slicer is the problem. It grated the skin off a lime before mangling it in the shaft. We assumed maybe it was too 'tough' (it was fresh and easily sliced with a knife), so we switched to something lighter. But it did the same to a basic cucumber. And we're not sure if the lime did it, but the internal blade has a warp/dent, so I'm sure that's causing all our issues now, so we can't use that part of the kit anymore. I'd return the whole lot if it weren't such a pain to do so.

Absolutely love the Fresh Prep Slicer & Shredder attachment! It makes food prep so much quicker and easier—slicing cucumbers, shredding cheese, and prepping veggies in no time. Super easy to attach and clean, and it saves me so much effort compared to manual slicing. A must-have if you use your KitchenAid regularly!

Perfect for prepping the cheese on pizza night. Only issue some cheese does get stuck and squashed between the grater and white body. But it’s easy enough to clean up.

this attachment is a game changer, it makes prep so much quicker and less waste with it using all the goods you put in, no more little bit of carrot left over. i made carrot and zucchini slice and it made the process so much quicker, im stoked. you got to add one of these to your collection

I purchased this alongside my kitchen aid bench top mixer and so glad we did. It makes meal preparation easier and the kids love great cheese with it. Easy to clean and use. Only downside is it can't go in the dishwasher

useful attachment - does what is says - fabulous slicer I expected the body of the slicer to be cast like the grinder but no - its plastic :-( for the price i did expect the same product quality as the grinder

I purchased this as I have a large family and lots of grating! I find hand grating to be fatiguing these days and loading up my big food processor and then cleaning it is a lot. The grating is neat and even and the clean up is so easy. Looking forward to summer salads being that much more pleasant to prepare.

Due to a medical condition I stopped grating cheese and vegetables. I now can continue this with ease. Adding the attachment & cleaning is a breeze.

I bought this because I wanted to make Piccalilli without all the hand chopping, Carrots were good, Cauliflower came out like rice (great) but the zucchini was mushy. Suggest removing the seeds in the centre and only put the freest through. Definitely worth while.

Very easy to install, feels sturdy and well made and so many uses. Cheeses, vegetables, shred or sliced - carrot cakes or shred a block of cheese and freeze it in baggies. Very happy with item

This attachment has made dinner prep that much easier!! So easy to attach and makes slicing vegetables so quick and easy! I have only had this for a week or so but have used it almost every night. Don't get me started on how well this freshly grates cheese!!!!

I love it for cheese grating; however, I am unable to replace the pusher on it as it has broken and I have been told there is no ETA on arrival of this part and now the plastic part that the pusher goes into has come off. Seems to be falling apart. Little disappointed.

Disappointed that this was not made in USA. This should be stated on your web site.

Purchased this for the main purpose of grating cheeses. No more box grater for me. This thing make a knuckle busting task a breeze. Made to last. For sure it is a must have in your collection.

Use the prep slicer all the time . So easy to use and clean . Love this product so much

Haven't stopped using it since i got it, should have bought it years ago.
