Could have put water level indicator where you can see it and not behind the handle.

I purchased this kettle to replace my previous kitchen Aid Kettle that I’ve had for 12 years. We are extremely happy with our new red kettle that sits proudly with toaster, mixer.

Purchased Empire Red 5KEK1701A Kettle. I love how you can adjust the temperature. Also the sound when turning on, it’s the sound of the seatbelt indicator on an Airplane. I like the fact my husband can hear it. It matches well with my Kitchen Aid Mixer. Next purchase will be the 4 slice toaster in near future. I hope it last a long while.

This is a game changer when baking and a recipe asks for a precise temp of water. Love the sleep design too.

I have now owned 2 versions of KitchenAid's kettles and both have broken down after a few months. The first one I bought completely stopped working and the pouring lip was leaking. I was then able to get a replacement to a newer version woth the variable temperature. Unfortunately, this broke down too after a few months with the kettle first not boiling to the selected temperature, the push button to open the lid became jammed and now the kettle has fully stopped working. Of course the product is now out of warranty since they do not move it up to the date of the replacement product. I am extremely disappointed with this product given it is so expensive and made by such a reputable brand. Both products completely stopped working after a few months with normal daily use just to make some tea. Do not try your luck with their kettles, 2/2 breaking down is not just a coincidence.

It is so fast and best of all so very silent. Love it ❤️

Love my new Kettle, boils the water really fast and lets you know once its finished. It has different temperature settings. Love the matt black finish as well

After researching small appliance brands I settled on KitchenAid & bought a kettle to go in my new kitchen. I still love KitchenAid but not this kettle due to the lid opening mechanism, which drives me nuts!! It takes from 1-15 pushes to open (yes, I counted) & is too cumbersome without full mobility/use of both hands.

Our existing kettle, required the TV to be turned up for an evening cuppa. ENOUGH. Am extremely happy with this kettle to complete my red range. It’s so quick and quiet, an evening cuppa is now so easy.

Temperature control is easy to use and it doesn’t have endless high pitched beeping which means you can use it at all hours without waking the household.

I have this for a while already and love how convenient the variable temperature is. I set it at 50 and it’s perfect for drinking everytime. No more mixing hot and cold water to get the perfect drinking temperature. Also great for teas with specific temperature.

We really enjoy the features of this kettle except for one annoying fault. Sometimes it take two or three pushes to close the lid and on three occasions the lid popped open whilst the kettle was boiling.

Have had my eye on a KitchenAide temperature controlled kettle for a while . So far I am quite happy with it .

I decided to go with the cream colour. It’s absolutely beautiful. Perfect temperature control and super easy to use. Very happy

I have had my kettle for about 6 weeks now and I still get a kick out of using it every morning. The chime it makes when you turn it on and when the water has boiled reminds me of the "you can now unfasten your safety belts" announcement on flights. To me that great because it reminds me of travelling. One thing I would change though is the on button. You really need 2 hands for this. One hand to hold the kettle and the the other to press the button. It's fine for me but wouldn't suit some people.

The kettle works perfectly and we love the little beep when it’s ready so we know when it’s boiled. Looks fabulous in the kitchen too

A beautiful machine ! Not only looks stunning on the bench top but easy to use lightweight abd easy opening lid for simple filling and pouring .

Used for the last few months and love the adjustable temperature setting. Makes it so easy to get the best flavours from all types of tea.

I bought this kettle about a year ago, it worked well, then a month in, the button on the lid to open the lid to fill with water started sticking. We just learnt to not try an open the lid other than on a solid surface and it would open after about 5 attempts, now it takes up to 10 try's and occasionally I have given up and added the water through the spout. For the money, it is beyond disappointing and so very annoying, my husband wants to throw it away and buy a cheap and cheerful one. Poorest quality of any kettle I have purchased.

Loud bell sound. Its like having a doorbell go off at 12am, 5am, etc. when myself or my husband are awake preparing milk for the baby or coffee for ourselves. Why would anyone make a kettle so loud?!?!

Such a nice kettle. Looks very stylish The only negative feedback I’d have is that sometimes the lid sticks when you press the button to open it

Have owned this kettle for approximately 1 month has been nice to use and I actually like the ability to set temperature which was not something I was interested in when purchasing. I like the capacity. Only issue I have is the lid doesn’t always open when I press the button - sometimes I use my finger to help it open.

I like a lot of the features of this kettle, and it looks lovely - the matte black is stunning - however opening the lid to put water in is always annoying, since the mechanism gets jammed and you have to press the button over & over again until it finally flips open. I would not buy this again.

I love my new kettle. The variable adjustments is a fantastic option.

I bit the bullet a month ago and purchased my lovely 1.7lt red 😍 kettle to match my mini mixer. Heats faster and is quieter than my previous appliance.

This is a fantastic Kettle, I have been look For a temperature control kettle, and this is by far the best. Quick to boil, very quiet and can heat between 70-100 degrees depending on tea you are having

I have had this kettle for about 3 months now and use it almost daily. I was so excited to have a kettle to match my mixer. It genuinely is beautiful, high quality materials and boils to whatever temperature you want quickly and quietly. Even chirps when it's boiled so you can hear it instead of a click - lovely. The lid though...what were they thinking? How can you make such a high quality product that costs sooooo much money and for most people, is a luxury splurge, yet that stupid button on the lid only opens 40% of the time?! I have never opened that kettle with less than 2 attempts and most of the time, it's more than 2. I'm writing this review after I just tried to open it about 10 times until it finally clicked open...no I'm not kidding. Is it faulty? Probably not since so many other reviews say the same thing. Of course I ignored them when purchasing because I thought it couldn't be that bad but my god it's infuriating! My husband has announced that he hates that kettle and the only reason we're keeping it is because it cost a fortune. So honestly, if you love it for the aesthetic, or like me you want to match other appliances, go for it, but don't expect it to open with anything but chaos.
