KitchenAid Shave Ice Attachment

I bought this product because I couldn't find a decent ice shaver that will produce a particular Filipino ice dessert called HaloHalo. The ice shaver attachment was uncomplicated to assemble and a breeze to use. Unfortunately, unlike most people, I have no inclination in taking a lot of random photos but I can assure you the product works really well and served my purpose! Thanks Kitchen Aid 😊

Perfect for hot Darwin days. Takes a bit of getting used to but once you get it, it's easy. Make sure you always have ice disks ready to go.

Great to have a healthy treat, very versatile and can be used to make shaved ice in a few seconds. Easy to clean and maintain too.

It seemed like such a good idea for making healthy and fun treats for my grandchildren, but the reality is that it only shaves two-thirds of each block, and those blocks are quite small. Oftentimes it doesn’t grip the block properly either, which is frustrating. Disappointing, given I’ve been very happy with my other attachment (the pasta thingy gets used several times a week).

A treat to myself for Christmas. It's been fun to try out different uses for the shave ice, and using various juices etc.

The ice shaver is easy to use and clean. If you pre freeze your recipes a day prior it’s a great addition to bring out on the bench to entertain in front of your guests. If you’re entertaining more than 4; you will need more cups or freeze recipes in batches. It that’s easily done.

My daughter turned 11 and I was fed up buying plastic and fluffy toys that are soon forgotten. This was by far her favourite present and she makes shaved ice after school and eats it while doing her homework. Brilliant gift!

The kids like having shaved ice like snow cones or frozen juice turned to fine shavings for a refreshing snack that is low sugar. Makes a fun addition to grown-up drinks to use the coarse blade to add crunch to cocktails. It would make a nice granita style topping for a jelly or set dessert so it would have a variety of textures. You could also freeze custard-style icecream mix and shave that onto puddings which would be fun. The attachment is quite large, but is easy to use and clean so the size is no problem, it just means that it’s built very solidly. No fiddly bits, which is good because I hate cleaning the fiddly accessories and it puts me off using them. It also works in a tidy way, so there’s no ice left all over the counter top.

I bought it for my sisters birthday, it was a great hit. Id recommend buying more of the ice cups. It makes great icy cocktails every time!

This will be my favourite purchase of 2024. From healthy, icey treats for the kids - to delicious frozen cocktails for the Mama (me). It is super quick and easy to use - minus the waiting to freeze part. Easy to clean, with the ultimate reward. If you’re on fence - buy it! You will absolutely not regret it!

I brought this to make Moscow mules for summer and it works perfectly. We love it and so do our friends when they come over for cocktails

this keeps my granddaughter very happy with her shaved ice.

Our household loves the shave ice attachment for the KitchenAid stand mixer. We love experimenting with freezing water, different juices, and adding flavours. My suggestion is because only four ice molds are included, is to use the ice molds freezing water and then place the readymade ice into a large container in the freezer. This frees up the ice molds to freeze another batch. When it comes time to make shaved ice, you have eight blocks of ice ready to shave. Beware the brain freeze.

I used in once last month, the fine shaving of one block was not sufficient to one serving. I had to use a couple of blocks. Need to prepare more containers to suffice several servings.

So glad this ice shaver arrived in time for Christmas as it gave me time to freeze a supply of ice for refreshing ice cones for everyone to enjoy. Experimenting with different flavours was fun including some with alcohol and fresh berries..delicious. Will be a welcome treat in the forecast hot summer months to come. Easy to use and cleanup a breeze.

bought this last month. It is compact and neat but I had a little trouble assembling the parts and inadvertently cut my finger. I would have preferred the ice to be finer like snow but it is still the finest shaver I have used.

I bought this for shaving ice for cocktails. I thought that this attachement just shaved ice cubes that you fed in yourself, however the ice cubes are of a special design for which they give you 4 moulds. Turns out, its very easy to use the moulded ice blocks

I bought this recently and just in time for Christmas and Summer Ice Deserts. It is really easy to use and makes great shaved ice drinks and deserts

The shaved ice attachment is perfect for a warm summer day! I’ve used it a few times since purchasing and the fine blade is definitely my favourite, perfect for an at home snow cone! My only downfall is that the instructions were not very clear on how to set it up. I had to watch a YouTube video for it to make sense. But once it’s put together, it’s super easy to use and clean!!

Makes perfect fluffy shaved ice that simply melts in the mouth.

Kept seeing adds for this and was intrigued. Really enjoying it so far but will definitely need to play around a bit more so that i can fully utilise all it's features.

I’ve used this a couple of times, with both frozen orange juice and water. If you enjoy shaved ice desserts and own a Kitchenaid, this is a fantastic product to consider.

I’d had my eye on the shave ice attachment for a while and I’m so happy I finally bought it. It’s a little tricky to assemble the first time but once I got the hang of it, it was very easy to use. I’ve enjoyed experimenting with different flavours and frozen beverages. The kids love it.

Easy to use and ice is fluffy just as promised. Have not tried freezing juice

Bought this to use for some shaved iced deserts and couldnt be happier with the purchase. We are a family of 3 so works well for us but may not suit if you are feeding a crowd
