La Gina Butter Beans 400g

Nice and creamy. I mashed this up as part of my baby's food. It turned out to be nutritious and buttery, perfect texture for my baby that has only 2 teeth currently.

Haven’t used before. I wasn’t sure what to expect but found these had a nice taste. Easy to open, tasty and I used them in a soup.

Giant beans. I was impressed with this brand of butter beans- a pantry staple for me. I use them in soups and casseroles, tray bakes and dips. I will buy La Gina butter beans again for the quality and flavour.

Beans on a can not my preference. I just don’t really like those beans in a can. They somehow ew give me an ick feeling regardless and still couldn’t find one that doesn’t.

There are giant beans in this tin! I bought this can of beans with the older style green label. It is nice to see a modern, pink label on them now but I hope the contents are still the same. I use quite a lot of canned beans but my favourite has always been butter beans. I have not purchased this brand of them before. I was really surprised on opening the can and seeing such huge beans unlike other brands that are considerably smaller. I used them in a vegetable dish for a group and there were lots of positive comments about the lovely texture and flavour. They were soft and creamy but not mushy. One person had never had butter beans before and vowed that she would buy a can at her next shop. At $1. 40 for a 400g can these are a great budget buy. They can be added to so many dinner recipes to bulk them out and increase both the protein and fibre content of the dish. After my experience I’m swapping my regular brand to La Gina butter beans.
