La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + M 40ml

I am on my third bottle of this now. While I wish it had more of a ‘moisturised feel’ (it soaks in quick and my skin can still appear dry) it is the ONLY product that doesn’t flare my acne and has kept breakouts at bay for months. I will never used anything else (when I have, I’ve paid the price in new spots!!). I was at my wits end with skincare being super sensitive to everything and this is now my absolute holy grail.

I don’t know what this magic is, I have used many AHA’s and BHA’s before and they never worked, but this is the only cream that has managed to fade the horrific hormonal acne I get during ovulation and period. I’m not even talking over days either - I applied it in the morning and by afternoon, my spots that were raging and red had all decreased in size. After using it for a week on those spots that usually turn into dark red scars and take months to heal, they are barely visible anymore.

This product gave me even more acnes. I tried using it forst time which ended up with lots of acnes on my nose and chun and then ai gave a good break of 6 mo the or so. Used it again and same issue. Dont recommend this product to anyone

I have both the original and the new formula of this product and whatever is in the new product is terrible, it doesn’t work nearly as great as the original formula if at all. The original would clear a pimple overnight the new formula takes weeks or longer in my case currently, it’s so disappointing it doesn’t work the same! Bring the original formula back!! As a long time La Roche Posay user this isn’t the first product they have changed, I understand improvements but why change what is working for so many people.

Very simple, This product is for nothing so please don’t waste your money

For the past year I have been struggling with constant acne that keeps coming back. I tried several skincare changes and new products, trying just moisturisers without actives etc, changes to my diet, but I always come back to using this one! I think it's mainly because I have sensitive skin that easily breaks out and reacts to virtually everything. This product is so lightweight but makes my skin feel so soft, like I have nothing on. In the past month that I've been constantly using this along with the La Roche Dry Touch Sunscreen, my skin has never looked better. I rarely get a pimple pop up, 1-3 at max, and am just dealing with post-acne marks (erythema I think) now. My skin is so flat I have barely any acne bumps! I could not recommend this more. One tip though, do NOT pair this with other actives that aren't La Roche Posay branded. I used this after a Benzol Peroxide 5% wash and stripped my skin barrier and had very red and inflamed skin - I hated it! Washed both off and it took over an hour to calm down. Hasn't happened since.

I’ve only been using this product for four days, and the difference is unbelievable. For the longest time, I used to wake up not even wanting to look in the mirror because of how bad my acne and pimples made my skin look. On top of that, my skin is super sensitive, so I always have to be really cautious with what I try. A couple of months ago, I started using Korean skincare, and while it works beautifully for some people, it just wasn’t for me my skin reacted so badly, and I felt even worse. Then I found this cream from La Roche posey, and honestly, it feels like magic. My skin has started to change in a way I didn’t think was possible, and I can’t thank the amazing team behind this product enough. You’ve genuinely given me my confidence back, and for that, I’ll always be grateful. From here on, I know I’ll be a loyal La Roche Posey user. There’s no better feeling than finding something that finally works for your skin, and I’m so, so happy I did.
