LEGO® City Recycling Truck 60495

There is something wonderful about a toy truck. All the cleverness of the design is a lot easier to appreciate than when the real thing is crunching down the road. It’s the moving parts that my son really loves about this one: the way you can sort the recycling and tip up the bins as well as tip out all the rubbish. It’s a clever build, with plenty of detail to appreciate. The minifigures are characterful and I expect them to have some surprising adventures as the clean the streets.

First big Lego for my 4 years old child and not the last one in the CITY serie. Lot of fun

The Lego Recycling Truck set is a fantastic set that combines fun play with a really positive and education message about recycling and caring for the environment. My nephew absolutely loved building it and the instructions were clear making it enjoyable without being to challenging. The details of the truck are great from the lifting arms to the recycling bins to the mini figures, it really does encourage imaginative play. My nephew especially enjoyed pretending to collect the rubbish and emptying the bins which kept him entertained long after it was built. The quality is exactly what you would expect from Lego. It is sturdy, colourful and durable and a good size. The pieces fit together perfectly and the finished truck is strong enough to be played with regularly without falling apart. I also love how it sparked conversation up about recycling and helping the environment in a fun, age appropriate way. Overall, this is a brilliant set that's fun to build, fun to play with and educational too. I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for a creative and meaningful Lego set.

We got this amazing opportunity to test and review the making of Lego city recycling truck. The young ones couldn’t wait to set this up. The Lego has 434 pieces and came in four different bags. This made it more easy step by step with the instructions to build. The booklet showed very clear instructions and they both so proud they got to build this on their own. Once finished it’s very sturdy and strong and lots of fun they got . Lego has always been a top favourite in our home as the quality is always the best. Plus Lego is very safe as we have always worked by the age range . This set is beautiful and it’s very much loved, gives children that proud sense of achievement because they made it. This was a very enjoyable build and I love the extra interactive parts of it. The details are what made me purchase it and I was not disappointed. The fork arms lift, you can sort the types of recycled items, and then the items are stored in individual parts of the truck, so you can empty one or the other if not both. It looks amazing. The containers open with gravity, just like in real life, so you don't have to do it by finger. Where it just fell short was I would love if the forks folded up as opposed to them sticking out the whole time. Also, you have to use just the right amount of force to dump the items. They occasionally get stuck at the top or spill to the side. Some folding pieces to the side of the truck's container opening might have been helpful.

This was a great build for my 9 year old! He did this effortlessly while being genuinely entertained. The instructions were easy to follow and the end result was so fun!! Everything has a function or movement!
