LEGO® Speed Champions McLaren W1 77257

The McLaren W1 has been one of the best speed champions I have built in the past year or so. I wasn’t even considering purchasing it but I got it for my birthday. It was such a pleasant surprise to open the box and only find 4 stickers, I find that a Lego build is much more enjoyable when you don’t have to worry about the perfection of a sticker. Additionally, there were a lot more intentional touches to this set that other sets just don’t have, I.e. the moveable spoiler is such a cool play feature, and the small engine piece in the rear (even though not visible) shows intentionality and I was very impressed. There’s also some awesome and creative building methods, some highlights include the mirrors, the front bumper, and the area around the rear area. Even though the piece count isn’t awesome for how much you’re spending, I would 100% recommend getting this set and you will not be disappointed. If Lego is reading this and takes reviews into consideration, I (and many other builders) hope to see less stickers, more intentional touches, and more cool piece usages. High praise for the designers of this set!

This is my 13th car and counting, it’s a great addition to the lego speed champions sets

I hardly write reviews but, after building this set, I felt I have to say something about it. This is one of the worst Speed Champions set in recent years! Compare to other good sets, this one has many open gaps and exposed studs, feels quite unfinished. Lots of unstable parts made it hard to play with as well. It might not be the worst set in general but, fall far behind other Speed Champions sets especially consider it costs the same. How to justify the price when other sets have so many spcialized parts?

These cars are so fun to put together and display! The baggies help with the clear directions so that my son can do it on his own. The bright colors are fun! And nothing compares to Lego brand for quality

First and foremost, we are STOKED that the pieces come in Paper Bags, now...vs. Plastics! However, they are still lined and therefore not recycable...though they are still not more plastic in trash. And my young teen said.."My first McLaren at --teen years old!" ;)

This was so much fun! It’s engaging for children and adults alike. We spent Sunday putting the McLaren car together and it was challenging even for adults in a good way. It’s a very enjoyable way to spend time together or alone and engage in a little bit of fun. The car came out looking sharp and the wheels glided so smoothly. I’m going to start collecting these toys because they look great on my bookshelf.

Such a fun and easy process. Lego makes it so easy to follow along with step by step instructions. It’s a great family fun experience and a great afternoon activity.

My 11-year-old son had a great time putting this Lego set together. The size is a little bit bigger than his hand. It functions the way it says it’s going to and he had a ton of fun. He thought it was a good set for someone who was a little bit of a beginner and he was able to completely do it on his own without any help which is a huge plus.

Got this for my son’s birthday excited for him to open it. What I love about these legos set that it’s easy to build cause it comes with a video tutorial easy to build step by steps perfect size very durable

LOVEEEE! My son got this right when I received it and started building it right away, it was great mind work for him. I honestly feel like Legos are amazing for a child and get the brain to work, definitely recommend and we have purchased some in the past and will continue to do so.
