LEGO® Speed Champions Time Machine from Back to the Future (77256) model car kit lets kids aged 9 and over build, display and recreate action from the iconic movie franchise. This brick-built toy car includes many of the famous details from the model seen in the popular movies.
Build this iconic car with a lightning rod and California number plate from the first movie before rebuilding it into its flying version from the second movie with Mr. Fusion, an orange number plate and sideways wheels. Both versions have rear air vents, a cockpit, the flux capacitor and time calculator.
For added play value, the playset also comes with 2 minifigure characters from the movies: Doc Brown and Marty McFly to place inside the cockpit. A great gift for kids and nostalgic adults, they can build each playset with confidence using the LEGO Builder app, which lets them zoom, rotate in 3D and track progress with easy-to-follow digital instructions. 3rd movie??

i loved this set but there was no parts for the DeLorean from the 3rd movie which was very disappointing hopefuly Lego can make one with the 3rd version of the car.

So much fun!

Such a fun build! Really interesting components and, as my 3 year old says, it’s “really fast!” Some parts come off while playing, but they’re easy to put back. Love all the small details as an adult fan of Back to the Future!

Looks great when finished, enjoyable build

Firstly the designer of this set deserves a pay rise. It is well designed and a pleasure to build. It has well thought out solid construction methods which lead to a “zero Frustration” experience. This set could be played with without worrying it was going to fall to bits. The only negative is the inclusion of stickers instead of printed parts. However the stickers were kept to a minimum so not too much frustration, but it does detract from the enjoyment of the build. Parts should really be printed not stickers in current day! Over all I enjoyed this build and am happy with the results.

Brilliant!

For such a small kit, this is an exceptionally detailed model, and the finished article looks SO GOOD! You even have the option of transforming the DeLorean into the future flying version. Would have been nice to have a plinth to display the flying car, but other than that I can't fault it.

It good except for one thing

All the details are great. The main figures look good but the one thing I had problems with was the ropes that you had to put around the car it was very hard for me to do that.

Serious value for money

Having had quite a lot of various Lego sets over the years I would have to say this is probably pound for pound the best value set I’ve had. I managed to get it on sale too which made it even better, and for the amount of pieces it has and how good it looks on the shelf, I can’t think of anything better. It’s great, any back to the future fan should have this. Important note, it’s more of a display piece than to be played with as some of the parts break off easy. To the frustration of my 4 year old.

Very cool

This set is very cool, and while I don't agree with the choice of piece for the windscreen, it looks 1000x better in person than on the box and in promo photos. Two minifigures is a bonus! Plus the ability to change to flying mode and switch between (2) movie versions. I am vehemently opposed to the crazy price increases that speed champions has been going through, but the quality does continue to improve and this is certainly no exception. The value is even better here too, considering the extra figure and all the extra and printed parts.
