Couldn't stop vrooming under my breath

All time favorite car/technic set that's in my collection. Every time I look at the car I smile because I had so much fun putting it together 😁 the set is almost better than the pictures and the way everything thing looks and moves like a real car is awesome. It stays together pretty good but the hood doesn't go all the way down unless you use the knob inside the car. I love how the back opens the engine and see the pistons move up and down when you turn the one wheel. I think it's cool to have the knob to turn the wheels like on almost all the technic cars ,but I think it would be cool if the steering wheel would do something to. Overall an awesome set with great attention to detail. Lego has to make more cars like these (especially fords;))

GT40

Long involved build. But I loved it. A few excess parts left over.

66' ford gt40

Great set to build and lots of moveable parts inside the build (i thought the running engine was a particularly nice touch) just wish it was a slightly bigger set at the price point

GT40 Build

I received this kit as a Fathers day gift from my kids. unfortunately the kit was missing one part, I ordered a replacement and now have to wait 2 weeks before I can finish the model. What I have built so far had been pretty easy, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The build quality is excellent, just frustrating to have to wait for a part that should have been part of the kit to begin with.

Fun to build

The pieces were well organized, and the instructions were easy to follow step by step. The build was fun and detailed without being too frustrating. I especially like the racing design, black and silver color, and realistic details like the engine and opening parts. Once finished, the car looks very nice and sturdy, making it a great display piece for LEGO fans or car lovers.

Excellent model hindered by inexplicable price

Why is this model $10 more expensive than the other cars in this line? It just doesn't make any sense. All in all, this is another beautifully done technic vehicle. The subtle angles and accurately opening doors and rear clamshell are nice touches, and were huge motivators in me buying this.

My build experience

This product helps keeps busy while where I am currently because it can be stressful sometimes but when you have Lego it helps relive that stress

I absolutely love this set

I bought this for myself after a trip to the Leicester Square Lego store with my teenage kids, when I felt it was unfair to walk out of there with sets for them but nothing for me! I was working away from home a lot at the time and really enjoyed building this a little bit at a time in the evenings in my hotel. There's nothing particularly complicated or taxing in the build, but I think the end result is absolutely fantastic. The GT40 is one of my all-time favourite classic race cars and this set really captures the look and feel of the original. (And as a side note, I enjoyed telling a friend I was driving a GT40 home from Sheffield!!! I was driving home from Sheffield, and the Lego GT40 was in my car *lol*)

Really Fun Build

Fantastic build start to finish. Lots of cool details, such as the bonnet opener in the passenger footwell and the engine-cover support. Now I need the Cobra to go next to it 🙂
