LG MS4296OSS 42L Inverter Microwave (S/Steel)

Very pleased with this sleek, modern microwave. We had to replace our Samsung microwave which died after many years of use, and decided to give LG a go because it offered the biggest size and power. I like how sleek and modern it is, the touch pad to increase / decrease the timer is awesome and very responsive. We also like how quiet the microwave sounds and music are.

Purchased this LG microwave expecting quality, but it stopped working after 2 years and became a fire hazard. It started smoking and even set food on fire, making it completely unsafe to use. Given the short lifespan and serious safety risk, I wouldn’t recommend this model to anyone. Very disappointed!

Great until it’s not. We first bought this model in 2021, then one day we went to use it, and it wasn’t heating at all! That one lasted 4 months. Thought we were just unlucky, swapped to another of the same under warranty. No issues whatsoever for 4 years…. Then the same thing again. Not buying LG again. But this time we are out of pocket, on something that should last at least 10 years.

Purchased in 2022 and died in 2024, started smoking up everytime we would use it. Element must have gone. Had to replace the light on it within the first 6 months. Never buying an LG again, going back to Samsung my last one lasted 8years.

Second time it’s going back for repair - developed fault - no longer heating / cooking. Twice in two years. Only just still under warranty. I expect better from a premium product than under 2 years of working life.

Appliance stopped working after 8 months. Jb refused replacement and sent it off to repair with a 2-4 week estimated turn around leaving the family without a microwave.

Sleek, modern look and good size. Nice touch controls.

Purchased in Jan 2021, lasted 2 1/2 years before rusting under the turntable. Apparently this is unsafe so now I have to buy another microwave. Going with a diffrent brand this time.

This large microwave is simple to use. Slick looking, although it is under the bench, which makes it a little difficult to see the start button. Seems powerful enough.

LG inverter microwave great product i would highly recommended

Great microwave is fairly large compared to what I had but looks great on bench. The stainless steel is a nice darker color. Inside is lovely easy to clean and use. Stainless steel at top and bottom of door will show some finger prints but they do come off with quick wipe and dry. Plays a little tune when time done but this can apparently been changed somehow to traditional beep.

I like the non-turning flatbed system. Heat is distributed better.

Love the performance and design of this product. It has very clever features to make yoghurt and soften butter and defrost food which works exceptionally well.

Easy to use, good size. Also plays a great little song when it finishes

How pathetic. First time trying an LG microwave, bout in late April 2022, Mid September 2022 and it already died on us.

I bought this microwave for my Mum who has dementia. The simple operation (start/stop up/down) is ideal and something she can manage easily. Looks smart too! Im very happy with the purchase.

It’s easy to use. Works well. Have cooked & reheated so far. Just love it.

Functions as a microwave. The soften butter function tends to leave a pool of molten liquid. The little tune it plays when it's done gets pretty annoying. You'll never forget anything left in there again!

Heats up extremely quick, easy to clean, stylish design. Touch sensor a little finicky but overall great product

It’s simple to operate when a reheat is required. That is done simply on the front panel. Also no annoying beep when the time is finished. It’s also quiet.
