LG S40T 300W 2.1 Channel Soundbar

Can't hear the dialogue. Turn up the volume. As soon as any action happens your eardrums blow out and you wake up the whole street. I can't say there bad but do you really want to be at VMAX theatre everytime you watch tv.

The woofer sounds awful, like its muffled underwater. messing with the apps sorry excuse for an equalizer did nothing to fix the issue. It fails to connect to the bar most of the time and has had the loudest coil whine ive ever experienced since being plugged in. None of the LG intergration features work. The app says it's connected and the remotes are combined. but in app they are on seperate pages and phsyically, the TV remtoe cannot control the audio. I thought we solved this back in 2010? i dont need a seperate remote and seperate app for every piece of tech just to watch some tv. The sound bar is pretty good especially if you struggle with making out dialogue over all the terribly mixed background sounds and audio (audio engineers do this on purpose, look it up). But i had to turn up the trebl and mids and turn the bass way down with the app. Thats the entire equalizer btw, those 3 sliders and a volume slider for the non functioning woofer.

This soundbar, after tweaking the settings, sounds pretty good for the price. The area I'm using it in is relatively small, so it fills the room to my needs. My biggest complaint is the lack of advanced settings within the app, meaning minor adjustments can't be made other than the basics (treble, mid, bass, subwoofer level, etc). Also, it gets loud VERY quickly when playing music from a phone, meaning it goes from barely audible at level 1 volume (iPhone) to almost overbearing at level 2, if that makes sense. This is where the advanced settings would be nice, where you could assign decibel output to a certain volume range. Overall, for movies and games it's a great soundbar with solid performance, but for music, it's a bit fiddly, although the actual sound quality is great.

This product proved you don’t have to pay a fortune to get a quality item. It produces excellent sound, easy to connect, I’m very pleased.

tinny. tv sounds better, am returning for a refund, shockingly bad quality

Excellent value for money. Using it on a non compatible LG TV and it still sounds great. Dynamic sound options but I’m always returning to the AI setting, letting it do the work.
