Logitech G512 CARBON LIGHTSYNC RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (GX Brown Switch)

Barely out of the 2 year warranty and the S key isn't consistently outputting, or is double outputting. Found out the switches are not replaceable either.

I thought I would get something RGB to try it. I can't use the G-hub software because it freezes when loading, however without it, the keyboard reverts to a mess of garish rainbows every time the computer sleeps.

This is a very good keyboard ruined by one fundamental oversight. After a short period of time the printed numbers and letters on the most used keys wear off leaving the clear key exposed. And worse than that, the company would not replace like for like under warranty.

It's pretty good so far. The brown switch one feels like a membrane keyboard, which is great. I don't like clicky keys. There's a slight click to them, but it's barely audible. The brushed aluminum looks really nice, as do the LEDs. The keys light up nice and bright. And bonus, you can definitely take off the keycaps and replace them if you want to customize this. Only two complaints though. One, with the backlight off, you can't actually read the keys. The letters on my old keyboard could still be seen even with the LEDs off. The plastic that the light goes through to make the letters light up was white. On this one they're black, like the keycaps themselves. Making it very hard to read without a fairly bright light source directly above the keyboard. It's not a major problem since it'll be lit up pretty much all the time. But still disappointing that they didn't bother to consider this. And two, the "USB passthrough" requires you to plug in a second USB cable coming out of the keyboard. Kinda defeats the purpose of it if you need to plug a second USB cable into your computer anyway. The cable coming out of the keyboard is pretty thick and heavy due to them running both cables through it. It then splits off into two separate cables with two separate USB plugs. Makes it hard to move the keyboard around when the heavy chord keeps knocking over everything on my desk. If not for those two issues, mainly the USB cable, I'd give this 5 stars. But even so, it's definitely worth it.

broke after a month or so using it.. keys spam randomly, do not buy!

Not worth the price, keyboard broke after 2 months of use. Spamming random keys, tried everythign doesnt work.

I have had multiple issues with the backlight on this keyboard, notably that after a few months of use the backlights on some of the keys would gradually stop displaying the correct colours - even when this was reset in the G hub companion app. Also, on startup the keyboard backlight would either be fully red or cycling through the rainbow, and would not revert to the correct backlight setting until I opened the G hub app. Sometimes it wouldn't even work until I re-adjusted the USB connection to my laptop. Other issues: - Collects dust easily under the keycaps - The key labels are almost invisible without backlight

As per specifications. Good quality, solid keyboard. No complaints.

Bought to replace a rubber dome keyboard. The first one I bought had switch issues resulting in duplicate characters when typing. It was exchanged without issue. After some time using the replacement unit the key coating material (i.e.the black coating on the keys) is completely gone on commonly used keys. This also means the backlights in the keys are more visible through those keys (not to mention the damaged appearance). Disappointed with this product and would recommend looking elsewhere if you value longevity of your key caps.

Excellent quality, this is my second one. My boy uses the other one non stop.

Get this keyboard while it was on sale and I have to say I am relatively impressed by the build quality and key switches. It's not your usual Cherry MX Blue switch, but it does that tactile feel similar to it only less noisy.

Fantastic quality. Very comfortable to type with. RGB lighting can be controlled via program or via keys on keyboard which is perfect for swapping between computers. Usb pass through is very handy

The person who helped me pick this keyboard, Jed, was very helpful and informative when picking out a keyboard. The keyboard itself is tactile and easy to use, with a satisfying click. The print and lighting quality is very good and it is a heavy keyboard, which stops it from sliding on my desk.

This keyboard is amazing, except for the fact that one of the RGB LEDs is now only R, and the Gamer mode (Fn + F8) sometimes turns on randomly, and the keycaps slowly start wearing away become clear, and as some other reviews have stated, there is no indication for scroll lock, and num lock Good things to note are that the keyboard has absolutely no flex and is very stiff, and the keys feel very pleasant to the touch, and almost all keys have little to no dead spots when pressing the edges of them.

What was Logitech thinking - no Caps lock indicator light, and backlighting for main letter only, not the alt key ...

I have been using a marvelous Ducky keyboard, but urgently needed a second keyboard having bought a new gaming system to transfer my files to. The Logitech G512, is comparable in quality and feel of the keys (blue), etc.. I have been writing lots and in substantial detail (technical books) and the quality and feel of the keyboard is excellent.
