No flavour

No flavour. These had no flavour, I guess they're an added ingredient for texture/fibre etc. I cooked them in chilli con carne. I wouldn't buy them again. They were a bit hard, I was hoping they'd soften during the cooking but no.

Versatile, affordable and tasty protein. Very happy to have been offered this sample - as a vegetarian, legumes are a huge part of my diet and black beans are such a great, affordable and nutrient dense protein source. Great flavour, great texture and very versatile - add it to a salad, tacos, soup, veggie bolognaise

These beans are very versatile. I added these to my casserole, though I’m not a big fan they are healthy and the beans took on the flavour of my dish!

Great for mexican

Great for mexican. Love that these had no added salt. I've had issues with fluid retention and sodium lately so these were fantastic. Bulked up a mince for nachos I made and worked well. Will purchase again

Convenient

Convenient. It’s always good to get a sample of something you use regularly, but not the same brand. It makes comparisons easier. I always have a variety of canned beans in my pantry, I fling them into more or less any dish to quickly add some cheap protein and fibre. These black beans were great rinsed in a rice salad, and yummy added to some pork in the slow cooker. Is it worth paying extra for the macro product? In my opinion, not for these beans. The cheaper ones are just as good. If you are happy to pay a bit more for the organic certification, these are good value for money.
