The pack is designed for everyday use. When heated in a microwave to a moderate temperature, the gentle heat can help relax and soothe tired and sore muscles.

When heated the warmth retained in the pack warms the area the pack is applied to.

In 2013 the Therapeutic Goods Administration published a set of recommendations for Hot Wheat Packs. Our packs comply with those recommendations.

WARNING: FIRE & BURN HAZARD. DO NOT OVERHEAT - always follow heating instructions. DO NOT USE UNDER BEDDING - may catch fire. Use as per instructions on label. To be used only in microwaves with turntable. Heating guidelines for square bag 20cm x 20cm: 650 watt Microwave - 1.5 mins on high. This is a guideline only, adjust times according to wattages and desired heat. Be in attendance at all times when heating. Re-heat only when cool with 20 second bursts checking each time. Do not wrap in insulating material. If any burning smells are detected during use allow to cool then discard. Not suitable for children under 3 years, contains small parts. The elderly may be susceptible to burn, carefully monitor use. This product must be discarded if it has been broken, breached or becomes wet, if it becomes contaminated with vermin smells, burnt or sour and/or if it has been overheated (cool before disposal, a fire hazard exists). Do not apply directly to broken skin. Institutional use should be accompanied by suitable contamination control procedures.
