Hot & Spicy!

Tasty with a perfect spicy kick. Great for adding to chilli-con-carne when camping, or topping nachos and cheese for a weekend snack. A convenient pantry staple.

A little hot for me, but worthy of a try

A little hot for me, but worthy of a try. Next time I would mix into another meal for added flavour and protein. My family members enjoyed it more than me.

Caliente Chilli Beans

My wife and I don't mind a bit of spice, so didn't find these particularly hot (chili-wise) when we had some warmed up, but my kids are a little less into the heat and thought they were a little too spicy by themselves. We added these to a mexican chili con carne style sauce for tacos instead of the usual mexi-beans or red kidney beans we use and it gave the sauce a nice boost without needing to use two taco spice sachets like we normally do. Texture was nice. Made a really nice meal, I'd definitely get these again!

Better than advertised

These beans ended up being auch a hit in my homes we've repurchased them a other 3 times already! Initially I used them as an alternative to black beans in our monthly Mexican feast and they paired perfectly as suggested with the avocado and sour creamzl, along with some chicken and lime. Next they added to some salsa and used as a dip (great way to get in some extra fibre). And then my husband has literally just eaten a bowl of them for a snack.

Heinz does it again!!

Delicious on our nachos! Family devoured them and I have already been and bought more. Flavours are exactly right and enjoyable.

Tasty & filling

I haven't bought beans in a while so was interested to try these. I put them on some corn chips to make a quick & easy nachos for dinner. The beans were tasty, and not too spicy which I liked. The consistency of the sauce was good.

Tasty but not so hot

Overall I liked the Heinz Chilli Beanz Hot. They were tasty, good texture and ratio of beans to sauce. However I was disappointed that they weren't as hot as I expected. I enjoy spicy foods and these were fairly mild to my palate, despite being described as "hot". I understand they're catering for a mass market so others may find these hotter. The beans are flavoursome though, versatile to use for Mexican dishes (simply heat in a microwave safe dish or pan on the stove) and I easily solved the heat factor by simply adding hot chilli flakes to my finished dishes. I tried them in soft taco tortillas with tomato, lettuce, capsicum, avocado and plant-based cheese. Also on top of a baked sweet potato with melted plant-based cheese and some guacamole.

Great addition to quick meal repertoire

I used the recipe on the tin to make chilli con carne. It was delicious and oh so easy to make! Impressed with the flavours and yummy beans I can’t think of any improvements, they made cooking my meal easy and tasty.

Hearty and tasty, but not that hot.

I enjoyed the chilli beanz for breakfast on toast with some cheese and avocado. The flavour is quite good and relatively well seasoned. The texture is as you would expect from a tinned beans product, but not unpleasant. The beans are very filling, making the tin good value as it would cover at least two people's meals. Surprisingly, given the product contains both "chilli" and "hot" in its name, I found it fairly mild. This is not to say I enjoyed it less because of this, merely that it seems slightly misleading. All in all, I was happy with the product overall and I would certainly consider buying it again.

Great way to get in your protein

Delicious! I made the chilli con carne recipe on the tin and it was quick and delicious! My son is doing a “clean bulk” at the moment and he said the macros were great for this meal. Even without the beef the protein content of the beans is quite good AND it says you get your 5 serves of veggies if you eat the whole can! Only downside was the “hot” is not very hot and if you make the chilli con carne I would recommend adding a little more chilli
