Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog Bagless Vacuum

Bought this in July 2025 after reading great reviews for homes with multiple surfaces and of course pets! As per it's name. To say I regret it is an understatement. Do not waste your money especially if you have carpet and animals. Cons - not a motorised power head. Relies on the suction of the unit so is useless even on low pile carpet it does an average job at best. - short cord meaning you have to stop multiple times and replug unless you live in a bedsit. - bulky unit doesn't move swiftly. - attachments hook is on the handle for the stick so constantly gets knocked and attachments fly off. - super noisy machine Pros - good suction on hard floors - large bin capacity

Purchased this vacuum 4 weeks ago, 2 rag doll cats, 2 dogs, 2 kids.. definitely happy with this product. It comes with 2 head attachments, standard and for a deep carpet clean requires the cat/dog head. After time you do need to clean out the head brush. (No different to my old stand up) Good suction, well made, yes it does have a short cord but I have a small house and it does not bother me. So surprised how much sand it picked up after using my stick vacuum!! Recommend

So disappointed. We had the Miele C3 Powerline - easily the best vacuum we've ever owned. We went for a change this time and also being a Miele we assumed it'd be great as well. How wrong we were. It is pathetically weak. The cord is shorter than the C3 and the accessories sit on an attachment on the hose, which we swiftly removed as we kept bumping it as we vacuumed and they'd fall off or hurt us. Now when we need an attachment it isn't with us or we've misplaced them. There's a few positives that got it to a two star instead of one. It is very quiet (probably because it has no power) and the barrel is easy to empty, in fact too easy as it has a handle on top that looks like the handle you use to pick up the vacuum so many times I've confused the two and taken the barrel off by accident.

Excellent vacuum for both hard floors and carpet and cleaning the car. Easy to use and empty the collection cannister, even for the kids, with access to all filters easy to find and use and compact for easy storage. Unfortunately this is my second machine as the on/off button on my first one broke, but I obviously I love it because I got the same machine again (I'm pretty sure it was just an anomaly as I don't know anyone that has had any problems with their other Meile vacuums) and dealing with JB Hi Fi in relation to the faulty machine and the replacement was a breeze - they refunded the original machine and I bought the same one again.

Light weight, great power, quiet and picks up everything!

Very good value for what you get. We needed a vacuum for our carpet for allergy purposes and we have a dog that continually sheds. It does the job nicely as I am amazed what it picks up when I empty the console. Easy enough to manoeuvre around and use. Does it pick up every hair? Maybe not, but it is a great value vaccum.

Dear Miele, Thank you for a great product, it is worthy of investment made. My dog's hairs are finally all gone from the floor/ carpet etc areas. As it vacuums so well the hairs do not build up anymore and easy to maintain cleanliness. BEST of all is that there is not a bag to replace and the entire machine can be cleaned up. AND no more running out of battery when the job is nearly done, endless power :) Thank you to the design team and anyone involved, much appreciated.

Great vacuum only issue is the head is difficult to clean if you have a long hair animal no easy way to dismantle and clean correctly, but outside that great machine

A good enough vacuum cleaner but I was expecting something a bit more spectacular from Miele. The rotating head is the only one that picks up animal hair from the carpet but it doesn't pick up hair from the wooden floor so you have to constantly change heads as you move between floor surfaces. The standard head set to carpet doesn't do anything on the carpet.

Best suction ever and compact cleaner I've ever owned, my daughter has now purchased one as well

Pint sized powerhouse. This Vac is as powerful as any other I've owned but great small size

Love this vacuum, best I have bought, it is quiet, easy to use and the power head is fantastic.

It's so good, makes cleaning easy. Also I think its way better then my Dyson.
