Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee Machine (Light Grey

Compared to my last Nespresso machine that became very noisy after two years, this machine is terrible! Cheap and nasty and doesn't work. It's gone backwards in technology, my last machine you pressed the leaver and the top lifted automatically not manually. Now I have to press a leaver sidewards and it manually pushes the lid up. 99% of the time after I've waited for the coffee to heat and be ready, when I press the button at the top to pour the coffee, I get a red light and the only way to over come it is to open the manual lid again and push it back down, then it starts. The coffee is always lukish warm and I have to put it in the microwave to heat it and then the foam goes down. I shouldn't have had to have bought a replacement in the first place, without fail every two years the machine breaks, these machines were made to break after two years so you have to buy a new one. At the very least, when we fork out our hard earned cash, make the replacement machine a good one! All up a big FAIL from me, do better Nespresso!!!!

Works ok, I just preferred my older one with the auto opening capsule lid. I find the Next a bit awkward to use the way you need to put a bit of pressure on the lever to lock it closed. It feels like it won’t last to long.

Coffee maker machine is great standing tall in my kitchen.

I have been using Nespross machines for over 15 years and always drink the same long black using LUNGO pods. This is by far the worst. I have to scoop off two layers of "foam" that doesn't mix through despite vigerous stirring. then after drink what is left, i still end up with foam in the bottom of the cup. I am just holding on in frustrating until my subscription runs out so I can change machines!! If you like a long black DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VERSION.

This is the worst machine I've owned. Had trouble since the start. Had trouble since the start. It doesn't fill up the mug to the level it should. Tried everything to fix it including resetting etc. It's now in the rubbish bin. I do not recommend.

Bought this model and it was such a disappointment. Randomly stops working, randomly leaks, randomly runs. Does not seem to follow the instructions provided with the machine. Wasted sooooo many pods on ‘failed’ brews due to machine malfunction. Waste of money.

Terrible machine. I was replacing an existing vertuo machine I had. I couldn’t buy that model anymore which I was relatively happy with. I’ve had 2 previous Nespresso pod machines I was happy with. This was the equivalent option. Unknowingly I found after purchasing that the design has changed significantly and has now introduced quite a few annoying issues that I never had before (including low temp coffee !) I’ve only had this machine for about 6 weeks but am going to dump it and buy something else instead.

Sadly dissapoointed with the new machine, it feels like its gone backwards from my last machine which I loved. Water container is smaller, empty capsule holder is smaller and capsules spill out everywhere when you pull out. Even the lock system is not as easy as last machine its stiff and for some reason some capsules you have to be pretty rough to shut it and lock it. Maybe sort out those things instead of worrying about bluetooth which for me is pointless does nothing to make my coffee. lastly my coffe is not very hot and alot of froth. even heat cup but still cold. Lucky i love the taste off coffee lol, but definitly wouldnt buy this again i’d stick to my Pro.

Great machine when it works. Rejects about 20% of the pods without really telling you why (other than red blinking light). In the 6+ months I’ve owned the machine I have not been able to pair it with my iPhone - horrible user experience. You’d think Nespresso would be more attentative to what machines they put their money on. Btw, highly recommend Vertuo pods over regular ones. So much better 👍🏼

Great selection of pods, reasonable priced, machine delivers a reliable measure of coffee based on the pod size. Great value for money.

This machine makes great coffee - absolute plus. BUT After out last Nespresso Verturo machine eventually died, we bought this one quickly and it was delivered promptly next day. Unpacked it and thought, what were their designers thinking when this one came off the drawing board! In an era when bench space is SO important why design a machine that is as long as my forearm and only a hand width high?? As a result the storage tank is also tiny - half the height of the previous coffee maker. Now try and get a normal cup under the spout. As long as you only drink espressos all good....but a normal kitchen cup. No go - so you end up talking off the drip tray and then it drips on the counter top. It may look good on the add..... but look at sizes before you buy this model.

Coffee always tastes burnt. Really quite disappointing. We have to give it a water flush after every second coffee to keep on top of the coffee that stays in the dispenser.

This would be a great machine if only it was a bit more reliable! I have had 3 of these in the last 4 years and the third one just broke down today with the same blinking orange light issue (factory reset, cleaning and descaling didn't fix the issue either!) Just bought a CitiZ instead hoping those one last a bit longer.

Do not buy this machine! I have had it replaced 3 times within 10 months and now have only 2 months warranty left which means when the replacement brakes they won’t replace it. I have wasted so much money on pods that didn’t work and so much of my time having to return the broken machine each time. Not to mention not being able to have my morning coffee. Very disappointed!

It makes wonderful coffee of our choice, so convenient.

Whilst the coffee is great its functionality leaves a bit to be desired. My previous Vertuo machine required minimal effort to operate whereas this machine is 'clunky' by comparison.

Noisy. Coffee flow is slow and atvthe start and end of a cycle is a bare trickle. Takes too long to make an 80ml cup. Considering going back to the original system or dumping Nespresso altogether.

Flimsy, cheap materials and nowhere near as sturdy and functional as the last Vertuo model we had. The cup holder falls off at the slightest brush-past, the top is unwieldy to open and close. Water storage is less than previously. All in all a very cheap facsimile of what used to be high Nespresso standards. Nespresso held its market and higher prices by quality. This is rubbish and ought be sold in Aldi's where prices reflect lesser labels.

Love my Vertuo Next Premium, makes great coffee and easy to use. Its the only coffee I drink now. Good variety of Capsules.... loving my Coffee.

The crema is too much with this machine - the coffee is consistent and still enjoyable

Purchased this machine to replace my old style pod one that lasted years and was super easy to use (but now discontinued). This one takes up more space on the bench and the top is very hard to push down and lock into place, you need to use quite a bit of force, would not be good for people without a lot of upper arm strength. Also the lid for the water canister is not fixed so you have to be careful removing and reinstalling it as it falls easily and would be easily broken.

Onto my second Vertuo machine, first had the 2 red blinking lights and despite trying everything, it couldn't be revived. Was replaced under warranty. Here I am with the exact same problem with the warranty one, yet now its out of warranty. Will never purchase another.

Bought 3x of these machines for our office. Hav'nt had them long 2/3 of the machines the water pump stopped working. 1/3, the top locking mechanism would'nt lock Pity, it does make good coffee

Need 2 hands to open & close the unit, when emptying the waste pods, you need to be careful you don't spill waste coffee over the place

I only have a couple of coffees a day... With the proper coffee machine that grind the coffee the beans would go stale before I got to use them so the taste was bitter. These bigger capsules and machines are great and taste like real coffee. Very easy to use !

I bought my coffee machine last year with the arching. I liked the coffee but there was so little of it. I couldn’t find how to change the amount it certainly didn’t change with varying capsules.

Awesome machine, so easy to use without the complicated buttons. Coffee always tastes perfect better that some cafes. Only downside is the milk warmer is not very good, didn't last very long. Go and buy a after market one and you are good to go.
