Cooks some food well

Certain food types are cooked well and others need extra rotating to cook. Use baking paper to make cleaning easier and avoid sausages as the gunk is disgusting to clean.

A good all round airfrier

I bought this air frier a couple of months ago. Have used it a few times and I am very happy with it and it suits my needs perfectly.

Replaced the same one

Had it for a couple years and used it daily, finally died suddenly. Bought a new one the. Same day. Great air fryer.

Works like a dream

The dual compartments means that wife and children's toasted sandwich can be cooked to each liking at the same time.

Good when it worked

Was a great air fryer, but after the warranty had finished the unit died. No power. I was surprised it died so quickly because normally Ninja is pretty good.

Awesome airfyer

Gave this to my 83 yo Mum for Mothers Day, she absolutely loves it and has been using it to roast or with bake every night. It has a big dial and numbers and is simple to use. It's a winner!

Maybe or maybe not.

Second one of these as the first refused to work just after the guarantee ran out, undeterred by this we got another, wish us luck, so far so good.

Stuffs up a lot and doesnt last more than 2 years.

Doesn't cook properly using the directions directly from the book it comes from. Undercooked or overcooked is usually its way to go. Hit 2 years last month and has stopped turning on. Looked around online and apparently this is standard for the ninja airfryers. I wouldn't recommend this brand, overpriced, bad performance and randomly dies.

Doesn't last

Was good while it lasted (2 years and 1 month). Doesn't really make me want to buy the brand again.

Great usage but 2nd one to stop working

Bought this in September 2024. I've fixed feelings as I love the fry, we use it for so many things. But, as of today, this is my second unit that simply stops working. It was replaced under warranty the first time, and now I hope the same this time, as it has 2 months of the original warranty to go.

FANTASTIC FEATURES

I purchased this product a couple of months ago and am thrilled with how it works. Being able to pair or sync the two drawers is a bonus and makes cooking a meal with different temps and times an absolute breeze.

Great dual compartments, no replacement accessory

Love the dual compartments. However the finish on the handles chip very easily. Was looking for a replacement basket but ninja don’t stock for the AF400. Would have rated it higher if they did.

Convenient and Easy to Use

It's still early days but it's easy to use, cooks well, easy to clean. The two baskets also makes it so flexible.

Slightly disappointing

What you are not told is that using both baskets makes cooking time longer and forget crispy!

Disappointing Experience with the Ninja Air Fryer

I purchased this Ninja Dual Zone Air Fryer with the intention of using one side for gluten-free cooking and the other for regular food, since we have a gluten-free person in the house. However, I’ve encountered a few issues that have made the experience less than satisfactory: 1. STOP Function Doesn't Work Properly When both sides are in use, the STOP button doesn’t stop each side individually, as described in the user manual. Despite selecting the side I want to stop and pressing the button, the unit just beeps and doesn’t respond. I’m currently in contact with Ninja to arrange a replacement. 2. Uneven Cooking Performance Compared to my old Philips air fryer, this one doesn’t cook evenly. For example, I cooked 6 hash browns at 200°C for 15 minutes, then increased the temperature to 240°C for another 4 minutes. The top side of the hash browns was almost burnt, while the bottom was still undercooked. This inconsistency means you may need to flip the food occasionally, which wastes heat (and power) each time you open the fryer. This results in more time spent watching over the machine. 3. How Dual Zone Works While cooking on one side, the unit uses around 1600 watts, which is fine. However, when both sides are on, it still draws the same amount of power. I don't expect it to draw 3200 watts (which would exceed Australia's GPO standards), but what seems to happen is that the unit alternates between sides, turning one on for about 10 seconds and the other off. You can hear the relays switching back and forth. This causes the cooking process to take longer, especially until both sides reach their set temperature (e.g., 190°C). Overall, while I like the idea of the dual compartments, these issues are making the Ninja Air Fryer frustrating to use. I hope the company resolves the STOP button issue with a replacement unit, but at this point, I'm not convinced it’s a great long-term investment.

Fantastic Air Fryer

Awesome product, bit big so finding space for it isn't easy but it works great.

I love this!!

The dog broke our oven, so we had to get an air fryer and I love it! I was tossing up between this and the Ninja large single drawer with the removable divider and I'm so glad we settled on this one, as the single drawer would have been huge to wash every time (even if you are only cooking something smaller on one half). I've cooked 12 muffins across 2 drawers - same recipe and silicon patty pans that I would normally use in my oven, but they rose more than ever before (and so quick without having to wait for the oven to heat up) I've bought some accessories - a rack/tins etc. The rack enables 4 large pieces of fish/meat - 2 on top and 2 on the bottom and then had sweet potato wedges in the other drawer. These: "Universal Kitchen Stainless Steel Folding Hot Dish Retriever Tongs" are a must, as they help you get ceramic ramekins, tins etc out of the air fryer whilst they are still hot. The different settings work so well and actually keeps the heat divided correctly unlike the single drawer (according to the reviews I have watched). It is a big appliance and will take up some bench space, but as we our oven is out of action (and we decide what to do with the kitchen) this will easily get us through and feed 4 adults.

Used it more than any appliance in the kitchen

It works like it should. It's my go-to cooking appliance. I steam vegetables the old way in a colander over boiling water and no longer use the oven. I use the microwave to heat the plates and milk for my coffee.

great , when it worked

awesome product , cooked plenty of chicken nuggets perfectly. Died just after 12 months. Didnt take up extended warranty as thought product would last a few years at least.
