To turn on the thermometer simply give it a tap or gently tap it against a firm surface. The digital screen will display anaccurate temperature of the room or bath depending on what you are using it for. Please see the guidance for the best temperature forboth babies bedroom and bath. To check the temperature of bath water simply place the thermometer into the bath water. Thetemperature of the bath water should be approximately 98.6°F/37°C. If the bath water is too hot the thermometer will indicate this bya red flashing light and the screen will read 'HOT'.Recommended room temperature is 19°C. Baby's bath water should be at a maximum of 37°C.

Bad product

Bought in February and it’s already broken. Shows LLL constantly, temps show in minus’s and overall just not good

Highly inaccurate

Highly inaccurate, I tested in my hot bath and the reading came out as 37 which definitely would have burned my baby. You have to bang it against something for it to work also. My baby is only 6 weeks old so it is basically still brand new and already needs to be recalibrated.

WRONG TEMPERATURE

Tested it against two other thermometers in the house and it’s out by 2 degrees. What a useless and dangerous piece of rubbish.

Recall this

Brought this a year ago but now it's reading the temperature as lower than it is! It read 33 but I checked the water with a calibrated glass thermometer and the water was actually 40 degrees. This would have burned my baby.

Look for an alternative

Was bought as a gift, has worked well for approximately 9mths, then suddenly started flashing 41* while in the bath water. Replaced the battery, and it still flashed 41*. Placed it in cold water to see what it would do, went down to 37*. I don’t recommend it
