Unbelievably Good - Outstanding

A TV without an NVIDIA Shield Pro is just a piece of plastic This thing is a beast, way ahead of its time, of that there is no doubt If you have your own personnel media files, such as Music or Movies on external storage Then you will adore this device, you will love it, and fret why you didnt purchase this sooner This is one of these magical devices that got everything right, where everything fell into place This is one of those devices where in future people will go, they dont make them like this anymore I use the Shield Pro to watch my vast Movie and Music collection offline using the KODI media Player

Great device so far!

So far so good, was a easy set up and the apps run smoothly no buffering. Love the remote lights come on so its easier to see the buttons in the dark, haven't tried geforce now but upgraded from the chromecast. Its small and compact so it can sit under your tv not taking up space.

Old but good for Plex or Kodi, wide format support

The Shield has heaps of problems. I've owned 2 Pros and 2 of the tube model and all have had bugs, performance issues, and generally been difficult products to work with. Quite frustrating that they haven't updated the processor and RAM in so many years and I would avoid this at full price. That said, it's one of the few off-the-shelf products that supports almost every video and audio format that you would want across many different streaming services. So if you're looking for the best quality you can get (maybe with rips of your 4K discs), the Shield will play back big 60-100GB smoothly, and output HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision (with the exception of DV Profile 7 FEL), Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, and the list goes on.

Outdated, proccesor is eol

This device was amazing, back in 2019 when it was released. Not sure why Jb have decided to now start selling this product and advertising as new. Embarrassing

Processor No Longer Supported. EOL Product Soon

I'm genuinely shocked to see this come back and be advertised as new. The onboard processor Tegra X1+ is End of Life. I wouldn't purchase this product if you are expecting this product to be supported by Nvidia for another few years. I advise staying away from this product until Nvidia remakes the Shield using modern silicon that they plan to support such as the models set for EOL in 2032.

Great for AI Upscaling

Purchased for the AI Upscaling. Works very well in all apps. Still worth it in 2026.

Still the best even though it is quite old now. Amazing performance.
