Claims eco-friendly, but marketing is misleading..

Oates Non-Scratch Scourer hoping for a truly eco-friendly option. The product does include some sustainable elements like recycled polyester and coconut fibre, and parts of the sponge are plant-based cellulose. However, the marketing oversimplifies things phrases like “kinder on the planet” make it sound fully sustainable, but the scrubbing layer is still plastic and not compostable. There’s no clear certification or proof of biodegradability for the whole product. It works fine as a scourer, but if you’re looking for something fully plant-based and truly compostable, this isn’t it. The eco friendly claims feel a little like greenwashing

All in one product

I made the purchase using the voucher and have put to use these amazing products. The non-scratch scourer came in handy as I had a rental inspection and I used it to clean the whole kitchen pretty much- it made the ease of cleaning the stove especially and getting all the grease and grit off without put scratching the stainless steal. I used the sponge side to get rid of the oil with ease and the non-scratch scourer side to get rid of the caked on food. Being a mum you don’t have time to clean so using this product made cleaning a breeze. I only used water so it’s even better without the use of chemicals especially around kids. 10/10 recommend

Great non-scratch sponge that actually works

I’ve been really happy with these sponge scourers. They clean dishes and cookware really well without scratching my non stick pans or glass. The scrubbing side is strong enough to remove stubborn food but still gentle on delicate surfaces. They also hold their shape nicely and don’t fall apart quickly like some cheaper sponges. I like that they’re made with more environmentally friendly materials too. For the price they’re great value and I would definitely buy them again.

Oates non scratch sponges

These sponges are great! Get rid of stuck-on food without ruining my pans even the harder things like burnt rice at the bottom of my pots . Lasts a long time too. They don’t scratch at all which is amazing compared to other brands I’ve tried. Would definitely use these again

Great and sustainable

The non- scratch sponge scourer were great, they cleaned up messes really well, the non- scratch part is made up of coconut fibres for greater sustainability and they didn’t scratch any of my cookware . Would likely buy again

Sturdy product!

Love the feeling and durability of this scourer sponge! Great value for money and does the exact same job as a scoirer and sponge all while being better for the environment. Will be purchasing again.

Works wonders!!!

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and all I can say is I am impressed! I have pots and pans that have sat in the cupboard for so long due to never looking clean, I used the non scratch sponge on them and they came up looking brand new! Would absolutely purchase again

Perfect for everyday!

Great for everyday use. Love that it’s got the sponge and scourer in one. Makes my life easier when I’m washing up after dinner and wash my stainless steel cookware that at times can be difficult to clean and make it clean, but with this it’s best of both worlds!! Easy to spine and rise off and put what’s needed in the dishwasher, and scrub the tougher stains and debris!
