Panasonic RF-2400 Portable AM/FM Radio

I needed a portable radio with backup batteries that I could take wherever. This has been great.

I got this radio for my dad a few years ago and he loved it.He has passed it on to me and I absolutely love this device.Good clear sound and very well built.I recommend.

Bought it at kedron jbhifi well built easily picks up am/ fm excellent sound ,knobs feel quality . It picks up the stations and sits on them properly it doesn't creep off the station. Great for elderly people .

I'm not sure when I bought this little workhorse but it is at lease 12 years ago. It has been my bathroom radio performing well in the steamy atmosphere every morning while I shower and shave. Eneloop rechargeables have kept running cost to zero. The only sign of wear and tear is one of the lugs holding the battery cover in place is broken but it still hangs together.

I have had this radio for a few months, and I am so disappointed. I spent what was a lot of money, for me, but it's not doing its job. The volume button is so hard to use - the sound either blares or is too quiet. By the time I get that right, the tuner has fallen off station. I can get Triple J but not ABC Perth or Radio National. It's a lot of money to have to work hard to only be able to listen to one station. The sound is fine when it's on station.

I brought this product so if there was a power outage, and or im out and about i can use it without power and put batteries in it ,and it has am and fm

Overpriced junk. Tuning poor - get better reception when the tuner light is not on indicating it is tuned best. Volume goes from quiet to loud with nothing in between. Don't bother.

Have had a series of these and each failed in the same way. Previously swore by Panasonic but no longer. The sound became intermittent and then failed. Returned faulty units but the same problem.

Great little AM/FM radio without any of the garbage techno frills most devices come with today. Easy to use, great sound quality, tuning dial easily read by a person with some eyesight problems.

I love the portable radio. No complaints. I think it works great, with batteries and also on the mains electrical.

I bought this radio 15 years ago as a companion while I was working in the yard. It has excellent tone and holds the station tuning well. About 10 years ago I dropped a shovel on it and feared the worst, but aside from a broken handle it is still going strong. No wonder they are still selling this same model years later. If it ever gives up the ghost, I'll definitely buy another.

This is a great little radio compact in size, great in sound perfect for travelling and so easy to tune with manual tuning

It is a small radio with limit volume but fit the space available

Rubbish. Plastic unusable piece of junk only fit for the tip. I wished I didn’t even have to off any start to rate it.

It's great just what I needed when working in the shed

Good clear sound. Easy to tune, as a red light comes on when you have found the channel.

Easy to tune, good volume, good tone because of the large speaker. The only thing I dont like is the volume adjuster wheel - I think it would have been better with a proper knob below the tuning knob.

Bought this for an Elderly friend, who finds this so easy to use and has great sound.

I own a black Panasonic RF2400 for many years, still using it, it functions like new and I think it's one of the best FM/AM little radios. powerful, clear sound.

Went for brand, but! Returned first radio after a few months due to channel drift on FM stations, tried AM stations but they dropped out as well. JB was great, they swapped it, but! The replacement radio within half a day started drifting of the channel regardless of frequency. I’m disappointed with this but, in saying so it is a brilliant radio when working. Back to JBHIFI again with hope of getting one that has no channel drift.

I have now purchased three of these radios and I am about to buy another one. These are so good I have purchased two of these radios as gifts for friends

Good quality, sounds great. Ease of operation where there are basic knobs and easy to use.

Great item. Clear sound and large numbers for older people. Awesome!

Good reception. Easy to tune in. The little red light comes on when you're right on the station. I have it plugged into power point, but can be battery operated to, which would be handly when power is off.

Found this portable radio very good and a perfect size.

I bought one of these for my mum for Xmas. She loves it. Big buttons and lovely clear sound.

Very Iffy when using plugged in via the power cord. Although advertised as working both on 3 AA batteries and a power adapter, the latter is only somewhat true. When plugged into power, the signal is heavily interfered with, whereas in the same place, on batteries, it was crystal clear. To be fair though, the batteries do last a decent while, on my usage, beyond 5 weeks. If you're ok with the batteries and ditching the power cord, then a solid radio. Tuning works as expected, gets plenty loud, decent build.

It is working very well - just plugged in & found the station we want - all good. No doubt we will take it with us when we hit the road again too!
