Panasonic RF-P50 Handheld Pocket AM/FM Radio

Totally a impulse purchase , however so happy with how good it works

I’m not sure if it’s the same radio (I bought a RF-P50D Panasonic radio much like this one today from JB Hifi) I was worried it would be garbage and it pretty much is. Do not buy this useless radio. It’s supposed to have a glowing panel for low light use, it doesn’t. Don’t buy this radio. I was also told I could not get a refund if I opened the radio and was not satisfied with it. I was told you could only return it if it was “unopened “

Really enjoying this. Remember you’ll need 2 ‘AA’ batteries. Surprisingly it does come with an earpiece (single) like back in the day. Fabulous quality. Out on the edge picked up AM & FM clearly. The weight while not too heavy, feels quality. Delivered promptly, friendly and very well packed.

Nice radio fits in my pocket and dont have to carry it on my walks. It picks up FM stations really well, unfortunately cant say same for AM stations, which is unusual because the ABC has never been an issue with other radio's. living 45 mins out of Perth. but not in an isolated area, I am surprised I have this issue.

We needed a portable AM radio for domestic use and in case DAB fails in emergency situations. I have a similar radio that is now 15 years old and it is used daily; so time for a new one! The Panasonic is a quality device. It is an analogue radio that is assisted by a digital tuning feature. I worked in a national radio station for over 12 years and this little radio is a quality device that meets all technical requirements. If you need a portable radio with similar features I would recommend the Panansonic RF-P50D.

Great radio, works fine, but no where on the box or in the product description does it say that sound only outputs to one earpiece, so if you use headphones only one side will work. Really really annoying to find this out after I had bought it and would return it for misleading advertising if it wasn’t too much of a hassle over $29

It works ok, can’t get many stations, but that could be where I live.

I bought this radio a few months ago, after my previous one of 5-6 yrs started getting scratchy sounds. As a long-time user of Panasonic, I am SO disappointed in this product. It is so hard to tune,and have to run the dial back and forth numerous times to find the station in tune. And the slightest movement of the radio, and it moves off the station. It also chews up battery life so fast I am onto my 3rd set of batteries!

Small compact transistor radio,goes everywhere and works a treat. Extremely satisfied. Bought 3.

I bought this radio about 20 years ago. I don't like earphones so I use this radio every day - mostly ABC AM stations, and for classical musc on ABC FM and 2MBS-FM - while working in the garden or just relaxing.

A basic AM/FM radio. This radio, for the money, should be stereo, not monaural. This feature would make a huge difference to the quality of this radio.

I needed a pocket radio in case I ever had a power outage at night and couldn’t use electric power.After I bought a previous model that had no AM function (I like talkback show’s specifically) I decided to buy this as it was on sale and the last model left.It has everything going for it.Clear sound great tuning and of course AM talkback.I would buy this again in a heartbeat if it broke.I’m recommending to my dad it’s so good.

Grate pocket radio good quality build but the tuning diel is a bit finicky otherwise very good.

Good sound quality for it’s compact size & portability.

It does the job. The included earpiece is cheap crap.

Handy, simple and easy to use. Feels a need at a supercheap price.

The old fashion man I bought for was very happy, that is what he wants.

I got this for Christmas as a gag gift but it's honestly great, 10/10 would gift again
