Parachoc is a lubricant laxative preparation. It contains no bowel stimulant, and thus works gently by lubricating and softening the faecal mass.

Children 12months to 6 years - 10mL to 15mL daily.Children 7 years to 12 years - 20mL daily.Adults - 40mLdaily.

Does not contain lactose, sugar or gluten.

Active ingredient: Each 5mL contains 2.5mL of Liquid Paraffin. Also contains Saccharin Sodium, Benzoic Acid and Potassium Sorbate.

Do not administer:Less than 2 hours before lying downIn the presence of unexplained abdominal pain, nausea or vomitingTo struggling, uncooperative children, to children in severe distress, with severe development delays or with reflux as there is an increased risk of aspiration (liquid paraffin being regurgitated and inhaled into the lungs). Little Parachoc is dangerous if it gets into the lungs.To children younger than 1 year of ageTo children under 2 years of age without the advice of a doctorOver a long period of time without the advice of a doctorThis product does not replace the need for a high fibre diet and high fluid intake to ensure normal bowel function.
