Philips Alarm Clock

Has malfunctioned after 14 months. Also, I found the lowest volume setting still too loud to fall asleep to. Also very fiddly to program and can’t go backwards to select stations. Have to go to the 20th entry and loop around.

Nice product but useless instruction pamphlet consisting of little icons with no explanations. Had to search internet to find proper instruction manual explaining everything in detail. From there it was all good.

The instructions are not the clearest I have seen, and I can't seem to adjust the radio volume when it's set to wake me up.

Instructions are confusing but apart from that it’s great! It’s a sleek little unit that has some awesome features like dimming the brightness of the time display.

Design looks nice, its good to adjust brightness levels, although lowest is still too much for me to sleep (I am sensitive to blue lights when falling asleep). Alarm's lowest volume is too loud for falling asleep, gentle wake up or even to play radio in background while working. Every time you plug it out it need re-setting which is not indicative as on other devices (even older alarm clocks). I couldnt set for radio to wake me up, which was precisely the reason why I purchased this, instead I would have the alarm go of then manually start the (too loud) radio. I came to this site years later to re-read user manual because I still don't know how to set time. it was a relief to see that other customers have the same problem(s)

I cannot figure out the alarm. The instructions in the box are hieroglyphics and the online instructions are not much better. I can see the icon for the two options of alarms, but it baffles me on how to set the time. Why is it so hard to design something simple? It is going back to the shop tomorrow.

Probably north worth the price. Audio sounds like it’s being played through a loud tin can. Minimum volume is still pretty loud so it’s not pleasant to have on in the background. Only FM frequencies available too. At half the price it would be a fair deal.

It’s FM only. No DAB.it’s quite expensive for a simple FM radio only clock radio.

I asked the guy in the shop if the alarm buzzer had volume control, he said yes, it doesn't. The alarm beep is not loud enough but worst of all this clock is nearly double the price of comparable clocks available. It looks good, works fine but at least $30 too expensive

I have used many clock radio alarms in hotels across the world. This has defeated me. A world first if you like. Instructions are useless and the online useless. I particularly like the trouble shooting.. if it doesn’t work set it correctly . Bravo.

Clock won’t work with batteries .Tried new batteries,still wouldn’t work.

The volume is to loud when using the radio alarm function.

I purchased this clock radio to travel with me. It's small light etc. Once received it I realised why it was cheap. It's very plastic like. Looks more like a kids toy. Radio doesn't really work. Complete waste of money.

I like that the numbers are large & that light is dimmable. It’s a compact size. The controls are a little fiddly. overall I’m very happy with the clock.

Looks nice, easy to read but sleep function is useless if the radio is too loud on the lowest setting for you to go to sleep. Really disappointing when it was purchased for this reason. Not sure if this intentional or a fault.
