Philips HD4814/31 5000 Series Rice & Multicooker

I was SO excited for this product as I cook my lunches for work. I loved how large it was, so I could cook lots of rice for multiple meals. Rice is always fluffy, and it's easy to clean. Steaming my vegetables is super easy and they're always perfect. There aren't a million settings so it's easy to use. It's sleek and looks great in my kitchen.

All I can say is wow. I absolutely loved experimenting with the Phillips 5000 series digital rice cooker. My son eats a lot of rice each day and this has been an absolute game changer!! All it takes is a couple of taps to choose your settings then before you know it you have PERFECT fluffy hot rice. The best part is the 'keep warm' feature which literally keeps the rice at the perfect temperature for up to 48 hours, ready to serve some whenever you want it! The machine itself looks so sleek with my black appliances, very easy to clean and theres SO many things you can cook in it! I also made a soup, boiled some eggs and made a beautiful cake, it was so easy!! I highly highly recommend this rice cooker, with its endless features and so many ways to cook with it, its going to be a great addition to anyone's kitchen.

The rice cooker was amazing. The rice turned out pefect. The entire family enjoyed the meal. We added lots of delicious ingredients. Definitely a household favourite. We will continue to make lots of delicious meals. We will use this in the future more often for sure!

This Multi Cooker has become my favourite one and only Rice Cooker. I have purchased some big brands previously. However, this is by far the best one! Cooked my rice within 20 minutes and the great thing is there’s a timer that you can see when the cooking is about to finish. No more hunger pain anymore waiting for the rice to cooked who knows when it will be finished. I can leave my rice in the pot for 7+hours and still tastes fresh and fluffy. Thanks to the Fresh Defense Technology! I love that there are so many options that you can cook with this Multi cooker, baby porridge, boiled egg etc. There are so many different kinds of rice as well to cook that you can choose from the options! The design is elegant and stylish. It’s very easy to clean especially the non-stick pot. I highly recommend this product!

Pulling this rice cooker out of the box for the first time, I was amazed by how beautiful and sleek the design and colour were. This looks great next to my other black and/or dark stainless steel appliances! This machine is certainly not just a good looking appliance, the rice really does come out perfect everytime! I was also able to steam green beans in the basket and boil corn in water in the metal bowl (cooked in a separate run to the rice). I love that the rice spoon/paddle was designed so it can stand upright on its own, meaning I don’t need a spoon rest or plate to rest it on. I also love that you can take the inner metal plate of the lid off for more thorough cleaning. Overall great a rice cooker that looks fantastic on my kitchen bench. I look forward to using this rice cooker for many years to come!

I really like this appliance. I tested a range of different rice types including white long grain, sushi, brown and jasmine rice. They all turned out perfectly. I followed instruction manual exactly as written and had no issues. I also cooked boiled eggs, chicken noodle soup and slow cooked a silverside. Highly recommend this product

The Phillips rice cooker simplifies cooking with its user friendly digital display and options. The non stick inner pot makes clean up a breeze and the design is also so sleek and stylish! The only downfall is that you have to take a few pieces apart to fully clean it in comparison to simpler designs. Otherwise it’s great.

I did some rice and added a little extra water like google said as we like our rice cooked well and it worked really well! Im yet to try a cake or something else but im excited to! I do wish there was more instructions and maybe some cooking ideas within the paperwork.

The rice cooker is quite large compared to my previous one and can comfortably cook around 10 portions at once. It has a modern, attractive design and is easy to clean after use. Overall, the cooking performance itself is very good. However, there are two significant drawbacks. The inner cooking pot has a Teflon coating, which requires extra care to avoid scratching, as damaged non-stick surfaces are not ideal for long-term use. Additionally, the steaming tray is made of plastic, which I personally find unsuitable for heating food and would have preferred a safer, non-plastic material. The control panel, located on the top of the unit, was a little confusing initially, but after a few uses it became straightforward to operate. Overall, while the cooker performs well, the choice of materials is disappointing for a well-known brand, and this affects my overall satisfaction with the product.

This rice cooker is amazing! It cooks delicious food every time with perfectly fluffy rice and great flavour. Super easy to use, beautifully made and keeps food warm without drying out. It is a fantastic appliance and highly recommended.

The Phillips 5000 Series Digital Rice Cooker is a dream to use. The ease of the functions and timers are so simple and easy to use. While using the rice cooker I was not only able to cook fluffy rice but managed to trial various dishes including fried rice and prawn risoni. Every dish was cooked to perfection and only one bowl to wash up. So easy! The only concern I had was what to cook… the machine contained no recipes, no instructions or any type of guide with quantities. Whilst I was able to find many dishes online through various websites, it would be nice if the appliance came with a cook book, given all the wonderful features it offers. Overall I love the Phillips 5000 Series Digital Rice Cooker and will definitely be continuing to create one pot wonders for a long time to come.

I am very impressed! This rice cooker is a game changer and Advanced technology!it has options to make a different types of rice, you can make quick rice or can take your time and use a slow mode slow cooked rice. Other than rice you can use it to make soups, yogurt, jam or use it as a steamer to steam vegies. Comes with a rice measuring cup, spoon, and a rack to steam your vigies, dumplimgs etc! It saves me time and not worry if rice is over cooked or burnt on the bottom. I love it soo much and it is a must have rice cooker. Thank you!
