Rejuvenail Anti-fungal Nail Lacquer contains the active ingredient ciclopirox. It is used to treat mild to moderate fungal nail infections that does not involve the lunula, by painting it onto the infected fingernails or toenails. The lunula is the crescent-shaped area (white half-moon) at the base of the nail. A fungal infection usually causes discolouring, thickening and crumbling nails. It is an unsightly and potentially painful problem that does not resolve without treatment. What is a fungal nail infection?. Onychomycosis (pronounced ON-E-CO-MY-CO-SIS), also known as fungal nail infection, is a common condition that begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolour, thicken and crumble at the edge. It is important to treat fungal nail infections as they may become worse or spread if left untreated.1-3 Rejuvenail is indicated for mild to moderate fungal nail infections not involving the lunula.4 Rejuvenail is an easy-to-use treatment for mild to moderate fungal nail infections.. Directions To be applied once daily. 1. Before applying Rejuvenail ensure that any nail polish is removed. Wash and dry the infected nail. Application in the evening before going to bed is recommended as the treated nails should not be washed for at least 6 hours. In the case of unintentional removal by washing, Rejuvenail can be reapplied. 2. Apply a thin layer over the entire nail surface of the infected nail and 5 mm of surrounding skin and if possible under the free edge of the nail. 3. Allow to dry for at least 30 seconds. 4. Leave on the nail for at least 6 hours overnight and simply wash off with water in the morning. 5. Filing is not required. Do not apply cosmetic nail polish or other nail medication on the nails being treated for the duration of the treatment with Rejuvenail. For best results, RejuveNail Anti-fungal Nail Lacquer should be used every day for at least 6 to 12 months. The infected nail should be trimmed at weekly intervals. Treatment should be continued until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have regrown. This usually takes about 6 months for fingernails and about 9 to 12 months for toenails.

General Information Rejuvenail is a water-soluble formulation containing the active ingredient ciclopirox. It is painted onto the fingernails or toenails to treat mild to moderate fungal nail infections. Ciclopirox belongs to a family of medicines called anti fungals. These medicines work by killing a wide variety of fungi that cause nail infections. Fungal nail infections are hard to treat and a full cure depends on several factors, including how badly damaged the nail is. While Rejuvenail can treat the fungal nail infection it cannot repair the damage, therefore a full cure can be expected in up to 30% of people. Size: 6.6 ml At temperatures below 15°C the nail lacquer may gel. To reverse, warm to room temperature (25°C) by rubbing the bottle between your hands until the solution is clear.
