Sangean DCR89 DAB+ Digital Clock Radio

Love this radio, had the same model for 20 years. I just searched for the same model to replace it.

Unable to dim the instructions show a adjustment underneath but not there

The radio is about average. The main reason I bought it was for the line jack which allows good quality sound from an external speaker. The unit requires faster time than normal to apply settings; too slow and it drops out of settings mode and you have to start again

A great clock radio that can set the time itself and has 2 alarms that can be set for different days (e.g. 1 alarm for weekdays and a different 1 for weekends). Also receives digital radio for clearer reception.

Had this clock radio for a few years. Had to contact the company last year to download software to get it working. Now the screen is blank and unable to get any info or stations. One of the dearer clock radios but not reliable. Wouldn't buy again

Don't buy this! It contains a number of known faults. I was told about them when I went to return it and was told to do a software update (on a brand new product). I had to buy a cable in order to do the software update! Known problems are: - it doesn't hold the last played DAB station for the alarm (so I can't wake up to the station I want to); and - it is too bright to use in the bedroom even on the lowest setting and it appears to get brighter over successive nights.

This clock radio WAS great in the beginning, then the alarm kept jumping time, changing when inwas trying to reset it, once i tried 20 times in a row... still did npt work! My husband's alarm clock of the same brand, did the same thong soon after mine did. Very frustrating, i bought a new one, different brand today

I have had this product for a month now and find it very reliable. The sound is excellent. The only drawback is that it does not have a facility for a battery back-up which means you have to re-set it if the power goes off but apart from that it is excellent.

I bought this a month ago and I am happy with most of it's features apart from the quality of the sound. It tends to sound muffled.
