Scosche magicMOUNT Dash/Window Car Mount

Poor magnetic fields. Unable to hold my iPhone. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!

The base plate and lock, and the device magnet aren't as strong as I hoped. It didn't work at all on the dash. And the phone flew off the windscreen on to the seat a couple of times. But if you fiddle around with the angles and weighting you can eventually make it workable on the glass. Not bad for 44 bucks, but there's probably better ones out there.

Started falling off almost immediately; now the “sticker” has barely any stick left and the suction is terrible, so it won’t stay on the windscreen. The packaging said the magnet would work through a case which wasn’t entirely accurate either. Rubbish product, don’t bother.

Easy to install. Unobtrusive. Only thing missing was instructions for how to Mount an iPhone 11. Instructions went up to 10, then there was a jump over 11 to later models. I found that it worked wherever I placed it (I tried two places).

Great windscreen mount, the only negative is that in the Australian heat the contact pad deteriorates and the mount starts to fall of after 2-3 years. Having said however, this is the second one I've bought as its the best one I've found for a windscreen mount.

Window mount works really well & sticks HARD. Easy to install & doesn’t move easy for my 91 yo father to use.

Disaster purchase - I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. The box indicated that this mount is compatible, using mag safe. The box comes with extra metal plates to improve the strength of the magnetic "stick". No matter what I did - the magnetic attachment was waaay to weak, and would send my phone flying within 1 minute of attaching it. Dangerous while driving and phone destruction was luckily avoided.

Not great on textured and/or curved surfaces, adheres well to glass. Magnet performs poorly underneath a thick case, but includes tape to adhere metal plate to case externally. Holds strong under those circumstances.

After many cheaper alternatives online, found this to work very well. Have purchased multiples to put in my cars. Worthwhile testing in store in case it doesn’t work with your existing case, comes with 2 skin magnets of differing sizes to place on your phone (inside your case).

Magnet was no good , phone keeps falling off would say that this product would not suit many mobile phones and probably should be taken off the shelf.

I use my phone in the car a lot for work and have tried many different types over the years. This is by far the easiest to use. No sticky backing or clicking in and out of holder. Just place and remove when you need to. I have been taking it with me interstate to use in rental cars. Still sticks and works like the day I got it. The magnetic sticker/plate works through my phone case perfectly

Unfortunately did not stick to my dash at all even asking using the cleansing wipe. Does however stick to glass very well but I did not purchase this for my wind shield I need this on my dash

Fits perfectly on my centre console. I didnt want anything stuck to my windscreen, or 3m attached to my dash, and this has been exactly what I needed. I use a Samsung S20+ using the larger magnet and holds perfectly. I just suction cupped the mount to the centre console in my 2021 Outlander.

the two instruction stickers on the clear plastic piece that goes onthe back of the phone between it and the magnet could not be easily taken off. Only part could be initially removed without scratching off. I think that ruined that bit as it seemed to later have no effect when i attached the magnet

Magnet does not hold phone when the road gets bumpy or when you take turns

Fantastic magnetisation when metal plate is attached directly to phone. Doesnt magnetise well through a phone case.

It does exactly what it says on the box. I have other Scosche mounts in my and wife's care. I brought this for a recent hire vehicle. Came off after 3 weeks without leaving rings to clean.

The second best I've had but on a hot sunny day, it fell off and was never able to make it stick again. A replacement adhesive would be ideal. Now I have to buy a whole new one.

I love the ease of using the Scosche magic MOUNT Dash/Window Car Mount. The only thing I hate, especially because we live in Australia, is that the actual dash mount does not deal with heat at all and disengages with the dash easily. This has caused damage to the mount and less than 4 months that has meant that when I used it yesterday, the phone and the mount came off the dash when I was turning a corner. When I put the mount back onto the dash, I noticed that it does not stick to it and came off easily into my hand. It is a real shame, because up until this, the system worked amazingly.

Sticks to window perectly. As per description, magnet on the inside of my phonecase allows my phone to stick to mount without falling off (saw another review where this wasn't the case). No issues whatsoever. Simple, no fuss, quality product.

Scosche is always the only brand to go for a phone mount and this is no exception. This comes with two magnetic plates as spares, different sizes. Great product !!

Date of review - 27/07/2019 / Date of purchase and installation - 13/06/2019. For me, this phone mount does what i need it to do - which is allow me to mount the phone in the car - and it does it very well. The magnet strength is very good and does a great job holding the phone, and i can confirm that it will NOT mess up your phone internally. However, this is all based on my setup being, the mount being stuck on the windscreen, i attach the phone (which is a Pixel 3) horizontally, i have a Spigen-style phone case, and the metal plate placed inside the case, near the lower half of the phone (so as to not affect NFC), therefore the phone is not centred on the mount. I note i also had the same setup with a Galaxy S8, and the performance was the same. Also, i stuck the mount "low" enough on the windscreen, so that when i attach the phone to it, the phone is also gently resting on the dash, which gives it that extra bit of stability. Apologies, i cannot speak on its performance for those of you with thicker cases like the Otterbox, or if you mount your phone vertically, or if you want to stick the mount on your dash (although I can say it won't stick to my 2013 RAV4's dash due to the bumpy basketball-style surface), or if you want your phone to sit higher up (i.e. not resting on the dash). However, apart from the thick case thing, i believe it would still be ok with the other stuff.

I now own three of these & have one in each car. Great quality & holds on the windscreen without any fall offs. The magnetic pad is very strong & phone sticks like glue! Best I've ever bought!

Brought it a month ago, to keep my phone up and so I could keep an eye on the road and not be tempted to pick up my phone. Works exactly how I wanted it too, and the magnet is super strong. Would definitely recommend for a phone mount

Had this for a month or so and can't really fault it. Sticks to both window and surprisingly the textured dash (Skoda Octavia). Can be difficult to mount a large phone in portrait mode if your windscreen angle is quite shallow.
