I purchased two of these grinders, one for salt and one for pepper. Within a couple of weeks, the first grinder stopped working and would no longer grind when turned. After investigating, I found a faulty component and was able to fix it myself with some glue. Unfortunately, just a few weeks later, the same issue occurred with the second grinder. I'm very disappointed with the durability and quality of the product, especially given that both units developed the same fault in such a short period of time.

I ordered a pair. While the salt grinder is still working because salt is much softer, the pepper grinder completely failed after just three months. Upon inspection, I found the issue is an inherent quality flaw: the screw holes were already stripped/loose from the factory. It held up for a short time through temporary friction, but the high resistance of grinding hard peppercorns caused it to completely fail. For a brand like Maxwell & Williams, a three-month lifespan due to loose factory screws is unacceptable.
