Need longer toasting for crumbles

Crumble toast heating is not enough toasted, had to press twice for preferred toasted, bit disappointed

Burns on the lowest settings

It has 6 settings. But, already on setting 1 it’s so strong (see photo) I have no idea what would happen with setting 6...It must be made to make charcoal. A cheap toaster would have gradual increments.

Love Smeg but this is a terrible toaster!

I have always been a big fan of Smeg products but this would have to be the worst toaster I have ever owned. I bought mine around two years ago so not sure if they have been upgraded since then but my model has not been great. First of all the grey cord on a black chrome toaster looks terrible. Very slow to cook and always seems to undercook one side. Now two years later the heating elements on both sides of the toaster have gone completely at the same time which seems odd. Now have to cook the toast and then flip it and cook it again! Very expensive for a not so great product.

Looks good fits in my sppliance cupboard nicrlyn

I bought this about a month ago and I live the look and size, but the toaster pop is too strong and the toast ends up in the cupboard or on the floor, had trouble initially setting the toast to the desired cooking level and it was only cooking on one side.
