Smeg 50's Style 1.7L Kettle (Black)

It' s a great looking kettle and it goes well with my other SMEG appliances.

I bought my gloss 4 slice toaster and kettle 8 years ago and both still going strong. I do take very good care of all my appliances and make sure they’re polished and shiny, not sure if that helps their longevity. Love them both.

Good quality Kettle. Quiet operation. Would have given it 5 stars if the lid was not plastic.

I received the Black Smeg kettle and toaster from my kids just over two years ago for Christmas. I loved the products and the design however the kettle is now leaking water from the bottom . This is disappointing as it now looks like there is a malfunction and now I have to buy a new one to match my toaster

This is my 3rd sneg kettle, the previous one m, lid stopped opening and the one before that would not turn off by itself !

Great for a bit. Enamel coating chips and bubbles off. Hinge on the lid broke. Purchased 2 (matched our toaster and coffee machine). Very dissapointed.

Just over a year old and the lid no longer closes. In order for the kettle to boil, you now have to hold the lid closed!

Started leaking shortly after purchase, the plastic section of the handle has discoloured to a heinous green tone, and the silver ball for the on/off toggle has fallen off. It’s extremely heavy, and quite noisy. Terrible value for money, a regretful purchase.

The SMEG branding on the outside is not heat resistant, you will burn yourself if you touch it!!!

This product fell apart as soon as it was out of warranty. Worse, most expensive kettle ever!

I purchased this product in black to sit in front of my black kitchen tiles assuming the cord would also be black. I was very disappointed to see the ugly light grey power cord when I got it out of the box. There is no indication on the box that the cord does not match the product. For the cost of the kettle it is a disappointing finish.

My husband uses this several times a day and it just keeps working well and looks great

I bought a Smeg Kettle about 2 years ago and its leaking already, the product is not cheap so you would think it would last longer.

I bought this just over 12 months and the release for the lid has broken !! The spring top doesn’t work I have to fill by the spout now It’s a great shame as all my other smeg products are great

I love this kettle, it’s stylish to look at, it’s quite and boils quickly too. It is a bit on the heavy side so if you have arthritis in your hands it might not be for you.

Got to love finally getting a kettle that doesn’t sound like a space ship
