Not happy with this kettle

I bought this about 2 years ago. This is my second Smeg kettle and also have the toaster, knife block and scales. This second kettle has paint flaking off it for no reason as I am very careful with my things. It also seems to be leaking from the bottom of the water measure. Very dissatisfied with this one as they cost a lot of money. I have pictures but I can’t upload them.

Long lasting kettle

I have had my Smeg kettle for 5 years & it’s still going strong. It hasn’t missed a best since I purchased it in 2018. The features on the variable temperature model are always handy, as well as the keep warm button.

water not hot enough

Bought kettle approx 2 years ago and have been disappointed with the temperature the water reaches when kettle is boiled. Always have to reboil the kettle at least once to make a cup of coffee. Not what I would have expected from a product with such a high price tag
