No matter the price, they are not worth it

Got them out of the box and one side already does not work. Absolutely terrible.

good for what you pay.

Nobody is expecting Sennheiser's from $10 Sony earbuds from 2010. However, they do perform very well. The bass is very noticable and the highs and lows or whatever- they're good earbuds for $10. Pretty comfy. Test with Doin' it Right by Daft Punk. If you can't notice the bass, you got a dud.

Poor quality.

I might as well have been announcing to the whole world what I was listening to. you can hear what the person wearing these is listening to at low volume.

I use them for sleep and is absolutely value

I'm so glad jbhifi are still selling these. I need something to listen to while sleeping and these earphones are probably my favourite. They sit on the outside, and not fully in the ear canal, low profile and rounded design so it doesn't hurt when I accidentally sleep on my side, and sound quality is good enough for low volume audio. They are cheap and durable.

Sounds like 2009

These earphones sound like 2009, a nostalgic feeling. I've had many of these over the years and they're the only ones I'll buy since they also are the only ones I've found that actually fit and sit comfortably in my ears and don't fall out (small ears). My brother is in the same boat as me as well and only uses these ones. I would read up the reviews to see if these are the right ones for you as they are for me ^_^

For goodness sakes upgrade to usb-c!!

I've always loved these, especially for nighttime use as a side-sleeper. BUT... they only have an old pin style jack. Up until my current iPhone 16, they worked fine with a lightning adaptor. But on the iPhone 16 using a usb-c adaptor, I can't get the volume low enough for comfortable nighttime use. So disappointing. There isn't anything to match it in comfort.

Very good treble. Dreadful lack of bass. Rubbish.

In comparison to my previous Sennheiser MX 170 that I bought years ago for about $15 or $20, and always loved, especially to solid bass, these are a major letdown. I knew they would lack bass and that is how they are, unfortunately. For the price, they are OK as a stop gap while I seek out another Sennheiser model to replace the discontinued MX 170. Very good treble. But that is useless without the bass. I really don't know how Sony can live with themself selling this rubbish!

It's Cheap, It's Lower Quality, It Works.

It's cheap, functional earbuds that you won't feel bad if you lose or break. I prefer to travel with this than something expensive such as AirPods or bluetooth headphones. (Especially if you experience those mini panic attacks from not finding your stuff when going through your bag) These earbuds have also been a great help when travelling overseas. Wired earbuds means no battery and no battery means I can take a long flight or layover and not worry about recharging my earbuds. It's also extremely light of course. Sure, you won't get the noise cancelling, high quality audio that you find in pricier headphones. But you get what you paid for and it's as simple as that. You accidentally left the earbuds in the pockets of your wash when doing the laundry? Oh well. Only one ear of the audio works now? Oh well. It's a 'whatever' set of headphones that won't leave you guilty for the price. I have bizarrely had pairs of this that worked perfectly for years, or some that worked for a few months. It is cheap. And I love it.

These stay in my ears

Its getting harder to find earphones with the old school shape. They're the only ones that stay in my ears. And the pink is cute.

Wouldn't bother

Very poor quality, muffled sound that you can hardly make out vocals (even max volume).

Do not buy unless no option

This piece of artefact reminds me when I was in highschool, but the sound just bad without any bass, stereo without bass is just an empty soul. Lucky enough I buy this free with the first membership free voucher

Ear plugs are slightly uncomfortable but bearable.

Okay product. Disappointing sound leakage.

I bought these to replace the original earphones for my Sony Walkman (USB stick device). The original ones were great! The offered very minimal sound leakage and lasted at least 10 years. I had to replace it as one of the earpieces finally stopped working. These ones look virtually identical but leak so much noise. But they're only 10 bucks, so you get what you pay for. The sound quality isn't too bad. As a side note: Beware if you are ordering these (or any other small product from JB online) and are having them delivered to a Unit from their courier service. They won't leave the item/s if you're not home regardless of all of the safe hiding places available or lack of foot traffic.

Good cheap earbuds

They're not gonna be the best audio quality ever, but I just wanted some cheap earbuds that would be good enough, and these are pretty good. No complaints about the audio quality. They can get as loud as you want too. They look good, and they're the kind of earbud that I personally find comfortable. Very happy with how they feel to wear in my ears. The wire, and the way it connects to the earbuds/jack, does feel kind of flimsy, not as durable as I would like. So I won't be surprised when these inevitably have issues with having to adjust the wire to get the sound to come out of both channels properly, as has happened with cheap earbuds I've had in past. But I didn't spend much on these so that's all good by me.

Basic, but ok as a back-up

These are the old fashioned style of ear piece and also use rather long and thin wiring. As a result they are completely impractical for travelling, difficult to keep tidy without "knotting" and are relatively loose fitting in one's ears. I bought them cheaply on sale but would otherwise never buy such outdated crap.

Good value, good product

Good earbuds at a really decent price. If I use them when I am trying to get to sleep, they are flat enough not to be uncomfortable if I turn on the same side. They fit nicely in the ear and the foam breathes properly unlike most modern earbuds. My ears don't feel sweaty and wet. You will hear background noise though, if that is a concern. The jack is at an angle so it is harder to bump and damage the junction of the wire and plug. Sony always make high quality products.

Value vs quality

Quality not the best but ok considering the price. Occasionally glitches with static sounds

Problem fixed

I bought a set on holiday and after two days a fault occurred. So posted back to jb hifi. They were extremely great and sent me a new set by post as I was by then back home. The earphones are good with a good sound.

Good earphones

My daughter is very happy with these. She had to have wired earphones for school and these work great.

Abhorrent quality

Abhorrent quality especially for Sony. I've had cheaper earbuds with 10 times the sound quality this has. It's also extremely uncomfortable. Don't Buy!

Great for the price

Work well given the price. Don't fall out of your ears even when jogging. Reasonably comfy. Do tend to get tangled easily though. But overall I'm happy with them.

Just bad

I know they're cheap but I've bought better 2 dollar ones. Immediate staticky fuzz on first use and can't walk without them falling out.

Absolute waste of money

Bought these two days ago, and they already broke, left ear has no sound. They have no bass response whatsoever, defintely not powerfuo bass. sounds like listening to music through a can with wire, quality is kind of good but i wouldnt call it "crystal clear". Music just sounds bad when listening with these. I will say however that they fit in my ear very well. There is also no buttons on them which most headphones have that allow you to change volume and song. Buy something else, not these.

Sony should be embarrassed

Tinny! The ones the airlines would give out for free would be an improvement.

Worse than a free set of mobile phone earphones

This product should not exist. Just horrible. Bought this because i forgot my Airpods. Was expecting to get at least something along the quality of old iPod earphones but it’s just bad. Then I used it for a phone call and it’s just frustrating to listen to. Add a few more and get an Apple Earpods with 3.5mm or lightning.
