rubbish

shakes, can't cut turkey breast or ham without sounding and smelling as though it was dying. Gave up eventually. Why do you stock rubbish like this. The old ones I had were greatly superior.

Waste of money.

I am taking this back. Its a toy - very poor, its shakes more than it cuts. Avoid.

Useless

Bought this knife over 2 years ago.. absolutely useless, reading these reviews they are still making and selling them, cannot believe a company like sunbeam would have absolute crap like this on the market, and using generic answers to the reviews. No I would not recommend

Totally ineffective

Useless. Bought this knife today - tried it out on my rustic home-made sourdough bread. Blades would not cut and after only a few minutes the body of the knife started heating up. Waste of time and money.

What A Waste Of Money

Purchased Xmas Eve as we had a lot of meat to carve. The knife struggled to cut cooked turkey. Tried again on pork roast and would not carve clean slices. I went back to a normal carving knife which was much easier than this knife. The knife is grossly underpowered and nothing like the Sunbeam knives of years ago which performed well. Don't waste your time on this knife.

Very disappointed

I bought this 2 weeks ago. It struggles to cut a loaf of bread. I tried to cut a leg of ham with it and was useless. It has now cutting power.

Poor product

Extremely unsatisfied. Used twice and blades continue to not lock in and fall out.

Useless

I had a sunbeam knife for many years so it made sense to replace it with another Sunbeam. Had issues with it from day one, would run well for a while then struggle to slice bread (the only thing it’s used for). Now it doesn’t even run well from the start, it struggles to get through one slice. Very disappointed

Sunbeam electric carving knife

I bought this because my last one was fantastic, but it was 30years old and it died. The new one is not up to cutting home made bread at all, it gets hot and just doesnt get through the crusts like the old model, disappointed.

Disappointing

I bought this brand for reliability but was let down could barely cut soft roast meat and was able to slice 1 slice of bread ! Product returned.

Not what I was expecting

We have been using a Sunbeam electric knife for the past 20 years and it needed replacing. I was happy to purchase Sunbeam again but I'm so disappointed in the new knife. I expected to be slicing my homemade bread with ease, sadly this is not the case. The new knife struggles to get through one slice and by the time I have cut enough for two sandwiches it feels shot in my hand. I see that the new knife is only 90w and the old is 110w. Why would Sunbeam think it is a good idea to reduce the power? I use an electric knife daily and it is very frustrating having a tool that is not doing the job as expected.

Terrible and weak for the price

I bought this knife to replace a 20 year old Breville. It really struggled to cut through roast lamb. Will probably replace it with something more powerful. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Broke within 4 months. Poor quality product

Broke within 4 months. One of the knife blade oscillators simply stopped working. Also the on-trigger would catch and get stuck in the ‘on’ position after releasing.

Very poor performance.

Bought this a couple of months ago and am very disappointed with it's performance. It doesn't cut roast meat easily at all. Blades don't stick together well so it tends to shred the meat and bits go between the blades so makes it hard to slice meat thinly. Also starts to smell after cutting just a few slices. Wouldn't recommend to buy this one at all. My old electric knife was a lot cheaper and was perfect for 10 years.

A bit disappointed

My 87-year-old father bought one of these about 3 months ago, the trigger button had stuck in the on position and he wasn't sure how long ago it was purchased, so I just bought another one of the same model. After a few uses, a blade on the new one kept falling out as the safety lock-in mechanism was not engaging properly. Considering his age, lack of dexterity, and thus a reliance on this type of appliance, I am concerned and surprised that a Sunbeam product has had these safety issues. Have had many Sunbeam appliances over the years and they have been reliable and up to the task. Just wanted to give some feedback and maybe a warning to others on my safety concerns about this experience.

knife blade jumps out of socket

My son brought this knife for me for mothers day, I was so happy until the right hand side blade keeps jumping out. Now not so happy. Can't cut anything without this happening.

Poor product

My knife will not turn off therefore is dangerous It does not run smoothly and it vibrates Had previously had sunbeam electric knife for years with no problems this one is only 6 months old with little use

Stops and starts!

Thought for the price and design this would be great however it continually stock and starts while trying to slice bread or meat. Sadly I would not recommend.

Rubbish

Handle to hard to hold for a female, doesn't turn off, won't cut through home made bread and handle gets hot.

Spring loaded blade release button fails

Sunbeam is my preferred electrical appliance manufacturer and I have had the Carveasy Pro for several years. It was purchased to replace an older (other brand) electric knife that kept dropping the blades. The knife cuts well and the blades do not fall out of this model. However, the blade release button does jam because of a plastic housing holding the spring release. I like the quality and design and would happily purchase a future model if this fault is rectified.
