Sunbeam Fresh Start 1.7L Kettle

Present from my granddaughter. Cord is far too short. I’ve had to buy an extension cord to allow me to reach the socket. Never had this issue with any previous kettle. Very disappointed. (Normal kettle cord in image as well as your tiny new one.)

I recently purchased this kettle but after a week of using it, was still tasting an unpleasant flavour. I prepared the kettle prior to using as outlined in the brochure under ‘Using your kettle’ but the strange flavour in the boiled water continued. I believe it came from the plastic water level indicator which goes through to the inside of the kettle - a lot of plastic is there and I feel that’s the reason for the boiling water picking up a ‘plasticky’ flavour. I will take it back to the store and will never again buy a kettle with any plastic inside. Sadly I was disappointed.

I received Sunbeam kettle as a gift from my best friend and absolutely love it! For someone like me who drinks a lot of tea or cooks a lot - this kettle is really useful. I love that it is stainless steel, really easy to use. and also boils the water faster than other kettles on the market. The only thing that I realize is that can be improved is that there is a small round of plastic area on top of the kettle to close the lid when its hot. But if I miss the plastic part, I touch the steel part and that can be very hot. But overall it is a great product.

I bought this with the matching toaster and they look nice and clean. Stainless steel is really nice and it's easy to use. A great add to the kitchen

use the kettle all the time, I drink 6 cups of hot tea everyday. I love hot drinks, Tea of all kinds and I pre-boil water for food prep. I love the design of this kettle, it is elegant in the size, weight and shape. The materials of Satin Metals against the mirror shine chrome sections, particularly the lid, it amuses me to see my face smile at my kettle, being mirrored back to me and to see the trees reflected on the lid from my garden. The kettle is quiet, efficient, and easy to lift and pour as I am elderly. I also found the instructions clear and simple, laid out in a very easy to understand way.

I just replaced my cheapish kettle with a new Fresh Start 1.7L Kettle. This premium kettle is one of the best I have used. If I had to pick on one annoying part is the water level gauge. It is situated where the handle is fitted, making it extremally difficult so view while filling the kettle.
