Sunbeam ProSteam Sonic Iron

Iron constantly spits out black dirt onto clothes. It regularly turns itself off, for no apparent reason. I unplug let set for 5 mins and it flickers on then off again. Have to leave it unplugged overnight then works again for a while. Soleplate drags on material, even when temp is turned low, making ironing very difficult. now the switching off thing is happening every time I iron anything. It’s Gotta go. Don’t waste your money.

I purchased this Iron based on the marketing and information. What a disappointing product. After about a month water started spitting from the iron and marked/stained my cloths. Rusty Colour!!! Also does not iron out wrinkles on linen or cottons. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

Iron was great for 3-4 weeks from new, then started unexpectedly dripping large lots of water - not droplets. So I'm left with large wet patches on every ironed item

Not fit for purpose Cord too short, temp dial too close to Handle, Pouring out rust after 3rd use, does not glide grabs cloth only good for landfill.

Very bad design, too sharp ceramic soleplate nose, soleplate is catching fabric, short electric cord, water filling inlet opens to the right side which prevent for right hand person easily put water, burst of steam button on the way of good handling the iron while ironing. Very disappointing of those iron because liked my previous sunbeam irons and enjoyed ironing with them.

this iron works fine as an ironing aid, however the power cord is too short. it is about 600mm shorter than my previous iron and when plugged into the wall i cannot reach the end of my ironing board with the iron! this means that i need to use an extension cord when ironing, this is a trip hazard that i would prefer to be without when ironing!

Purchased this iron as I needed one to use for heavier winter clothes as I mostly use a steamer. This Sunbeam Iron was well priced and had the same specs as more expensive irons in stores. The black and rose gold colour is a nice design too.

A fantastic value-for-money Iron that is easy to use with some great features, like the steam shot.

What 1st attracted me to the Sunbeam ProSteam Sonic Iron was the design. The sleek black and rose gold looked stylish. Once I plugged the iron in, the strong 180g/min steam shot was certainly the standout feature of this iron. what would normally take me double the time with my old iron, this iron glided seamless on to my jacket getting rid of all the wrinkles with one swift movement. I used to look at ironing a chore, but now I look forward to pressing my clothes ready for the day.

Easy to handle and nice and lightweight.

The Sunbeam ProSteam® Sonic Iron SRC4700 is such an affordable, high quality iron with high specs. RRP is only $59.95 - it is definitely good value for money. The look/ colour combination of the product is great too! The iron heats up very fast, glides easily over the garments and is very light weighted. We really liked the 180g/min steam shot function that helps smoothened the wrinkles quickly. The powerful steam can also be used vertically if needed, it gave an easy and quick refresh to my work top that was already hanging up. My husband has always complained about our clothes steamer not being good enough for his work clothes, as they still look wrinkled after steaming over a few times. This iron did a way better job than the steamer (as shown in last photo). It also comes with Safety Auto Off for peace of mind. Overall, we highly recommend this iron, husband is very happy :)
