Tefal Home Chef Smart Multicooker

This is my second replacement of this machine within less than 12 months as my slow cooker after eight hours the meat still isn’t cooked. I have to finish it off in the pressure cooker not happy.

Surprisingly Handy Honestly didn’t expect to use it this much, but the Tefal CY601 has made cooking way easier—especially when I’m prepping meals before a swing or just want something quick and solid on days off. Does a great job with everything from stews to rice, and cleanup’s a breeze. Reliable, simple, and saves a heap of time. No regrets buying it.

Replaced my old Phillips multi cooker and having regrets!! 8 hours of slow cooking on high and beef isn’t cooked?! Rice on pressure option is cooked before it even gets to pressure - would hate to leave it to get to pressure and discover the end results after a further 14 minutes. Don’t waste your money! Get something that’s actually going to do the job properly.

I bought this a couple of months ago. It is easy to use, and very versatile. The other day I used some left over cooked chicken, veggies that were about to go off, and some frozen veggies, with a can of tomatoes, chicken stock and pesto sauce. A great meal with some left over to freeeze for another day.

Simple, tasty and easy It takes a couple of cooking tests to understand the machine. But I've used it a few times now and although I'm still getting used to it, it is great to use and cooks very well. Easy to clean, it does take a while for the steam to release after pressure cooking. But a great multi cooker!

Love it. I can come home from work and have dinner on the table in less than 30min. I have made soup, cooked rice, made stews and casseroles. I also tried cooking sous vide style; something I never would have tried without my multicooker. The result was outstanding!

Oh my gosh! It’s amazing! I have only used the meat cooking function so far and the time programmed is 30 minutes. Spot on! Yes, 30 minutes. It normally takes me hours to cook on the stove. This model is fantastic; the lid is very safe and securely locked, the pressure release button is a bonus, you can press and hold to release all the pressure, then open lid. No need to wait! Amazing! I transferred the meat into another pot, add veggies, seasoning and cook for another 10 minutes or until the veggies are cooked. That’s it. I love it! It saved me so much time and money on gas. I enjoy cooking more now that I have this chef smart cooker. I know exactly how long it will take to cook my perfect dish each time so I can just set it up and walk away. Come back when it’s done! No more burned food. Important tips: do not add too much water because you will gain about 1/3 extra water of the amount that you added at the start.

only tried pressure cooking at this stage and what a useless piece of equipment...took over an hour to build up pressure for a 3 minute cook...so much for pressure cooking being faster.

It took so long to build up the pressure! I've learnt to start earlier in the day when I need it.

My intention was to cook soybeans via the pressure option, then make natto (fermented soybeans) under the DIY, Keep Warm option. Unfortunately there is no option to steam beans, so I had to use ”beef” as a guide and increase the time. The pressure cooking is messy and using a stove based pan is a lot cleaner. The cooker has numerous pressure options, some useless - like abalone - hallo? Who, firstly can afford it? And secondly, why dedicate an entire option to that when you've left out things like dried beans? Also, there is no DIY option for pressure cooking so one can select time, temp, etc. Second: there is no Keep Warm function UNDER 60 DEGREES! To make yogurt and other fermented foods sch as natto, the temp should be 40 degrees otherwise the culture is damaged. Silly me, I did not check what this cooker was capable of, and only after buying it did I see versions of other cookers in action, some of which have these options.

Love my new cooker, not perfect but very good. Works well and easy to use, wish it had a stainless bowl and separate power cable then it would be fantastic.

The Tefal Home Chef Smart Multicooker is a fabulous idea. It definitely cuts time with prep and cooking, makes a variety of meals and is safe and easy to use. It comes with a guide and recipes to try.

I use last 4 months and it's very easy to use, cooks beautifully and is so easy in the colder weather to cook wholesome meals so easily. I cooked a Casserole and the taste and tenderness was beautiful. I usually buy more expensive cuts of meat but for this I used Gravy Beef and it was just beautiful. So easy to clean and has so many features that you could not possibly ask for more.

Instructions hard to understand. Cant find any YouTube videos in English to assist. Just sits in the cupboard unused.

Look out! This multi cooker is amazing. It has replaced a number of my appliances in the kitchen. It is user friendly and I especially like the slow cook function. It's easy to clean and has enough room to cook bulk meals.

I love my Tefal multi cooker. I am able to have one appliance that cooks rice, slow cooks, and does so much more. The size is great for a family, you can fit so much in there. There are so many cooking options available. I love it and definitely recommend anyone looking for a multicooker, this is the one!!

This is a great versatile machine. I bought it for my Dad so that he can cook dinner every now and then.it’s very easy to use and comes with a good little cookbook. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a pressure cooker

I really enjoyed using Tefal Multicooker. I have used several other multicookers but this has been my best experience so far.I have only used it few times and I am really happy with how many things this appliance can do. It is very easy to use and comes with a recipe book which is very handy. My family enjoyed the meal I cooked using this cooker. It has become one of my favourite cooking appliances.

I thought for the money spent that this would be a great product.. beyond disappointed... I've only used it a handful of times... thats how disappointed i am.. the cooker will not lock when it is suppose to, a couple of hours into the the cook it decides to lock... the food is never cooked evenly... imagine potatoes cut into quarters and after 8 hours they are still not cooked...

Wow, I love the Tefal Home Chef Smart Multicooker! It is made of such great quality it has truly lasted me throughout the years! I love to make cakes, puddings or even stew in here, it's great!

I bought this a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. I was hesitant due to the cost but now it is worth it. The features are great and easy to use. It does so many things. I have baked, made winter meals, rice and it all turns out great.

Bought this and use most of the features! Saves a lot of bench space and is easy to us.

I decided to replace my old slow cooker with the Tefal Home Chef Smart Multicooker. It’s a super addition to my kitchen with all of its features.

Bought this as Xmas with a great tefal bonus promo. Good one pot wonder. Takes a while to pressure up but tenderises the meat very well.

I got this as a Christmas present and absolutely love it. Being able to make soup in 20 mins is amazing and we love doing stews and slow cooks.

The recipe guide and instruction manual was a great addition and certainly assisted to make the recipes as quick as possible. The time taken to prep meals was minimal and the pressure cooker option was great. The kids loved the food and I loved the reduced time.
