BOTW is a once-in-a-lifetime experience of exploring a vast world of fantasy and diversity that really could never be outdone by other open-world games. Link, under amnesia, traverses through Hyrule as he recalls memories to learn about the person he is. Swiftly master combat and mechanics to defeat enemies, complete quests and help Princess Zelda save Hyrule!

A brilliant technical achievement, but a pointless, dull game with meaningless moment-to-moment game play. There are no items, no dungeons, light puzzle-solving, and a grand impermanence to the entire experience. The player is an observer in a fairly empty, routinely resetting pure open world where nothing you do has any lasting effect (apart from one particular side mission). You are there to marvel at the technical achievement only, as the game emphasizes freedom to wander aimlessly and achieve nothing of real satisfaction.

i haven't played this game much and i'm new to zelda games, but you don't have to have already played the previous games to have a great time. i would reccomend it to anybody

Whether you like Zelda or playing open worlds and having hours of fun completing secondary missions while going through the main story, this is a masterpiece you should go for it without questions! Highly recommended with hundreds of hours of playability if you like exploring and finding every single puzzle and collectibles on a game!

BOTW is probably one of the best games I have played on Switch. The game has wonderful graphics,endless gameplay and runs beautifully. BOTW is definitely a Zelda game that any switch owner must pick up. Highly recommend it.

Do not be mistaken - you are going to need a lot of time to get through Breath of the Wild. It's open-world so it's easy to get lost in yet due to tonnes of "natural" barriers, it can be difficult to get where you think you need to be. Just be prepared to be taking on myriad side-quests. If you're used to PS4/Xbox graphics like I am, Zelda's initial graininess is a bit jarring. But it won't take long for you to appreciate just how beautiful this game looks and how solidly it is made. It's like controlling an anime movie. If I can offer some criticism, it's that I'm often wanting more guidance and prompting on my priorities. It's like starting an assignment when you haven't attended any lectures - you don't know what you're doing - ain't nobody got time fo dat! Another one is that your weapons and armour wear out really quickly. It's an interesting dynamic but one that the game designers push too hard onto the gamer. A smaller issue is that there's a weird mix of voice acting. In typical Zelda fashion, most NPCs speak a garbled language, however, inconsistently, a seemingly minor character will randomly speak with actual voice acting. I know they've gotta keep costs down - but I'd appreciate not having to read so much of the dialogue. Despite these issues, imma lay it down like this - Zelda is a triumph in gaming.

I’ve had this for a week now and struggle to put it down. If you’re any sort of Zelda or adventure game fan this really is a must play.

This game has absolutely blew my mind! To be honest it took me a few years to finally play this being a massive Zelda fan but god this is unlike any game I’ve ever played and it’s sheer possibilities, picturesque details and intensive creative game play is in a league of its own. This intelligent amazing game has probably ruined all other games for me as I doubt there will be anything else like this to come.

Even though I did not have the chance to play the previous Zelda games it did not matter because I still fell absolutely in love with this game. The graphics are beautiful and very impressive, the music amazing, the story astounding and so compelling. I would highly recommend to anyone because you can pay the game so many different ways and you constantly discover new bits of story or location and gameplay.

I bought this when the console first came out, and it was amazing, those who're terrible at gaming this is the one for you if you want the good experience, and fast play. Their are endless possibilities, if you "finished the game" you never will.
