Works as expected so far

Makes a really nice toasted sandwich. Heats up quickly and gives a nice even result. The plates are easy to clean and if needed can be washed in the dishwasher. I haven’t had a chance to use it for anything else as yet but can see that it will be useful for small batch grilling such as vegetables and meats.

The Top Plate Does Not Float

I am disappointed in this sandwich press. The top plate is supposed to float and lay horizontally across the top of the bread. It does not do this so I have to turn the sandwich around 180 degrees during cooking and because the machine is so heavy I end up with a very flat sandwich. The instruction book and youtube videos do not explain how to release the top plate from its locked in position. There is a slider on the right hand side that just creates a wedge shaped sandwich. Flat on one side and higher on the other which is why I turn it half way through cooking. I am not impressed at all

Great machine

Makes delicious crispy toasties, great for heating up leftovers, cleaning is a breeze with detachable plates. Best grill I've ever owned hands down.
