Allergic reaction

I have been suffering from swollen lips and a sore mouth for five days and this happened to me three months ago also and have just realised that the common denominator is the Total toothpaste which we have purchased twice now. I seem to be reacting but my husband is not. We switched to the Fresh version then back to Total which just depends on shopping and availability. I assumed I had a mouth infection last time and it had happened again which has prompted me to delve deeper and realised after brushing my teeth last night my mouth was on fire due to the sensitivity already there I assumed and now have woken up this morning even more swollen.

Causes mouth ulcers very bad

Please discontinue selling this product.It caused my gums to swell, my inner lips sore and I had ulcers underneath my gums. This should be discontinued.I bought a pack of 3 and I will just throw them away.

Discontinue this product immediately! Read your customer reviews. Mouth ulcers, irritation, swelling, numbness, gum tenderness. Used Colgate my entire life and this has NEVER happened with any of your other products. Take this product OFF the shelves or you will become liable for damages! Read the room Colgate, bad bad bad.

Avoid!! Caused mouth damage

I bought this toothpaste and after one use I got incredibly inflamed taste buds which have continued to recur repeatedly for the next month after ceasing use nearly immediately

Don’t use it !

I used this for a week. It was good initially and only some tingling from the mint, but then I developed this terrible reaction on my inner lips…. They should remove it from the market… don’t recommend using it

Do NOT use this!

For the last week I have felt like my teeth had a film on them, like my tongue was a bit burnt and regular lip tingles as if I was allergic to something. I had been googling symptoms to understand why then tonight thought to google the toothpaste. How is this allowed to be on the market when all recent reviews say how terrible it is?!? I’m really concerned that this is not at all safe to use yet something is still on the market. Do not use this toothpaste!!

Colgate total should be banned and legal complaint to be filed as it cause ulcers and cancer causing

This product should be banned it coz mouth ulcer and severe side effects within 2 days of use

I do not recommend this!!

I don’t know what it is in this but after using a few days my teeth were hurting, my gums on my molars were so tender and if felt like I had nerve damage to my front teeth. I was so worried until I remembered I started using this toothpaste and stopped. The next day all the pain and tooth sensitivity was gone. I threw the toothpaste in the bin

Swelling

It gave me like an allergic reaction. It started with occasional lip swelling in the morning, then it became more frequent, then my whole lower face swelled up and I stopped using it

Microplastics

Disappointed to buy this toothpaste and see it is full of little blue pieces of plastic. Rebranding microplastics to "microparticles" does not get rid of their impact to human and environmental health. Microplastics have been linked to heart disease, hormone disruption and pollution of the environment. I will not be using the rest of this tube because I don't want a mouth full of microplastics.
