Don't waste your time or money

I bought this several days ago, as we are required to take our daughter to ED if febrile due to an underlying medical condition. Unfortunately on testing, it was giving inaccurate readings, even when left at room temp for over an hour and overnight. Have since returned it to the store as it was not fit for purpose. While the store investigated and deemed the product as not faulty, I still believe it was not functioning as it should when required. Don't bother wasting your time or money. Have since purchased the Braun thermoscan and had great readings with this. Would not this recommend this vicks thermometer to anyone.

You could take your temperature in the same place one after the other and it will give you different temperatures every time.

Wildly innacurate

Bought this to replace my 15 year old ear thermometer that died, and it would give me a reading of 34.8 one minute and 37.9 the next minute. Its all completely dependent on room temperature, which part of your forehead you use, how far away you use it etc. Save your money

Inaccurate

Brought this two months ago and called ambulance for child that said he had 42degree temp. He had a 39 temp so should of been a doctor visit not ambulance call

Very Very poor accuracy

With a sick one at home, with red flushed cheeks we relied on this to tell us if we were getting the fever under control. Unfortunately with different readings within seconds of each other ranging from 37' to 40' we had to go old school to figure out what was going on.
