The steamer is quite helpful for cooking eggs perfectly in the morning, and of course, steaming veggies is so much easier on a busy day!

Efficient cooking appliance

The steamer is quick and easy to use for steaming vegetables. It is compact for easy storage. A down side is that the baskets cannot be washed in the dishwasher making hand washing inconvenient.

Simple, Healthy, Tasty!

I'm really happy with this product. I bought it because I eat a lot of stir-frys and casseroles and I wanted something that would make it easy and quick to cook simple, healthy meals without all the sauces to balance my usual diet. I had read that the Sunbeam VitaSteam rated very highly against its competitors, especially in its price range, and I haven't been disappointed. It steamed a salmon fillet and a variety of vegetables to perfection, with the texture of the vegetables being so much nicer than those done in a steaming basket or microwave. Although I expected the meal to be a little bland compared to what I'm used to, I was actually surprised by how flavorful the food was. I would certainly recommend this item and style of cooking to anyone looking to increase the simplicity and healthiness of their meals.
