Asparagus

Asparagus. A bit too mushy for our liking. Thank you bunch for the opportunity to try it but we prefer fresh asparagus for the taste and texture.

Texture not great

Texture not great. These are really soft and mushy. They barely hold their shape. Good in cooking (chicken and asparagus pies) but I don't think I'd use them for anything else

Not Great

Not Great. Woolworths Asparagus Spears Tin 425g is quite underwhelming — the texture tends to be mushy, and the flavour is noticeably dull compared to fresh or frozen asparagus. I did not really enjoy it.

Mushy

Mushy. mushy asparagus spears in this handy tin, great for pasta sides and quick simple weeknight meals.

Too mushy

Too mushy. The asparagus has a mild flavour and is ready to use straight from the tin, making it great for salads, quiches, or casseroles when fresh asparagus is not available. However, I did find the spears a bit too mushy for my liking, especially if I was looking for the crisp texture of fresh asparagus. They still work well in cooked dishes where the softer texture is less noticeable, but I would not use them as a standalone side.

Fresh is best in this case!

Fresh is best in this case! I wasn't a fan at all, this lacked flavour and the texture wasn't the best too.

Fresh is better unless mush is desired

Fresh is better unless mush is desired. Can't say I'll ever willingly pick one up. Super soft, will come apart in your hands kind. Colour wise, a yellowy dark green tinge - looks as unappealing as it sounds Did manage to make it work by incorporating them into some herby tuna+potato fritters. Even then, had to adjust for the sheer amount of extra moisture the drained asparagus had. Might work better in Quiche and frittata perhaps? Thanks Bunch for the chance to try this product

Soup?

Soup? It's so watery and can't even pick it with hands. Too watery and the color is already darken.
