Woolworths Ready to Eat Meal Chicken Massaman 350g

Great value, tasty meal. This was a surprisingly tasty boxed meal. Great value and very handy as a quick back up dinner

Quick, Tasty and Great Value Massaman Chicken Meal. We love Woolworths' ready-to-eat boxed meals, and this massaman chicken with jasmine rice is one of our favourites. What we like about this range is how quick and easy it is to prepare. It's perfect for when you don't feel like cooking or washing up. Preparation couldn't be simpler. Just open the box, remove the two pouches - one containing the rice and the other the massaman chicken and sauce - use kitchen scissors to cut a small opening at the top of each pouch, stand them upright in the microwave and heat for 90 seconds. Then empty the contents of both into the box (although I prefer using a plate or bowl) and it's ready to eat. Just make sure the pouches are standing upright securely in the microwave so they don't tip over while heating. The massaman chicken has a rich, creamy sauce with an authentic flavour, and the fragrant jasmine rice complements it well. The serving is small for one person, but at only $4 a box (as of July 2026), it's still outstanding value. My wife and I usually buy three boxes to share, giving us two satisfying meals for around $12. The packaging includes the usual plethora of information, including ingredients, nutritional info, storage and cooking instructions, country of origin and, importantly, the use-by date, which is clearly printed on the top of the box in black letters on a white background. Overall, this is an excellent meal that's convenient, tasty and affordable. It's one we'll continue buying. Thanks, Woolworths!

Good for convenience. ideal if are short in time. it was quite gluggy with a hug sugar content.

This wasn't excellent. It was OK. Not outstanding but it was OK. It's nice and spicy and yes it's very convenient as there's no further prep required so for convenience I give it the three stars. I'd still rather make it from scratch and my Massaman seems to taste vastly different but this this Massaman is still OK. I won't be buying it again but I don't want to put anyone off as the convenience factor is excellent and if you don't have the time to make this from scratch it's actually quite good.

Convenient. Taste is ok but nothing truly amazing just one of those typical convenient meals

Average tasting. My husband tried this and found it a bit average. He is not that fussy either. The butter chicken is popular with our kids so we thought this would be good also. Unlikely to buy this product.

Pretty good in a fast food category. Spicy but not too overwhelming. Meat is chucky and fulfilling. Appropriate portion for one person. Will buy again.
