Zero-X ZX-20 4K Action Camera

Product battery lasted 10 minutes after being fully charged, only has an option for 4K 30fps at maximum. Recordings sometime failed and when they didn’t they were glitchy and unclear.

This is an absolutely terrible purchase decision. It was genuinely so bad, I actually looked into these. They are just rebranded Allwinner V3 action cameras from China, dating back as far as 2016. Aldi sold these under a different brand back in 2019. Most of the absolutely terrible quality is because the 4K is fake. It is physically impossible to achieve 4K from an 8MP sensor. Speaking of which, it's not 8MP! It's also not a Sony sensor! This is false advertising, looking into the firmware I dumped from this camera, the only driver it has is for a OmniVision OV4689 sensor, which is 4MP! This product should not be sold by JB HiFi. Despite also being capable of higher bitrate, the bitrate is artificially capped at 3mbps which is appauling and why video looks so pixelated and low quality with basically any movement. I was able to fix this by modifying the firmware, however I have since realised it was a terrible purchase decision, put the original firmware back on it and returned it. Do not buy.

really not worth the money at all, frankly its the quality of something id buy off temu. I took it mountain biking and camera quality was advertised to be 4k, however it wasnt close to 4k. the fps was advertised to be 30 fps but it wasnt even half of that. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Not a bad little above entry level action camera. Low light performance could be a little better, and they went on sale a week after purchase, but otherwise functions are good at 2.7k

I really gave this camera a go but it is woeful and I’m about to throw it away and just buy a GoPro. The footage is not 4K quality but the killer for me is the difficulty in downloading any footage. This can only be done via the app but that constantly crashes or doesn’t recognise the media files on the disk even though I can watch them on the camera in the viewfinder. Sadly, it’s just terrible and a waste of money even at the low price point.

Worked all of 3 times then got boot looped every time and one of the three recordings got corrupted so you know :/ Rather get a 3rd gen go pro because they still work

This is not an action camera, it can't even handle low speed movement without getting extremely pixelated. Save your money and get a decent brand

I have found painful to watch with no video stabilization 4 k only at 30 frames per second ,I set record clip if to my helmet and ride ,the battery dies after about 1hour I have tried to replay footage and at this point jound out the files corrupt and won't play either on PC and camera

It says that the camera is 4K, but in fact it is more like 480p. I really do not reccommend this as it is a waste of money.

Nothing like what it says on the box, looks the same but thats it. Camera quality is okay for photos but video quality/capture is nowhere near 4K. Would be closer to 720 is that. Would only recommend if its first camera to film walking pace videos.

Phone app is horrible, barely works and very hard to setup. The video function is good, but as soon as you switch to image the pictures get very dark. You could get stills from the videos though. Overall not terrible if you just want something to use for weekend trips but if you want anything better invest in a Go Pro

Unable to even see the photos because WIFI connection phone app doesn’t work. Instructions in manual difficult to follow. Finally, no support on website or by phone, so if you’re stuck, bad luck, try to figure it out yourself.

4k only on paper. Camera quality was worst than cheap quality dash cam. material also looked cheap compare to price point
